Well this is something. Greetings fellow peoples or whoever else finds and reads this story. Let me introduce myself, I am simply know as THE MONKEY KING. The king of what you may ask? Well, the king of the Zebras to be precise, or even better, the King of the Achaemidien EMPIRE.

How you may ask? Well to be honest, I have no bloody idea myself. One moment I was simply making myself some coffee just like every morning, and then the next thing I know I get zapped away from my home, reappear out of nowhere in the middle of Desert with both my Coffee and pajamas still on me, followed up by some weird Voodoo prophecy made by the Zebra Shamans about the arrival of an ancient Monkey King who is going to re-unite all the fractured Zebra tribes to once again reform the Zebra Kingdom of old.

That was a mouthful.

That's not all, I went even further then that and somehow, SOMEHOW, managed to take this kingdom and shape it into THIS worlds version of the Persian Empire, thanks to my genius, silly antics, and stupid luck.

Oh and Celly face and Lulu face now see me and my new empire as threat to Equestria itself . Accusing me of "expanding my empire too rapidly" Ooooooooh

All of it accomplished with just one good mug filled with coffee...I mean the mug itself by the way, not the coffee.

This job requires more coffee than it's been medically proven to be unhealthy.

Gel is one such changeling.

She has risen through the ranks enough to be able to request her own assignments. She chooses one no changeling has tried before: Ponyville. Her reasons are sound, after all, a particular group of mares resides in the town. These mares are well known for saving Equestria many times, so it is wise to have an agent within their proximity. However... motivations are not always as clear cut as one would say to others.

And if her motivations for going in the first place are to be questioned... perhaps there is something more to her reason for the specific target she requested?

Follow this changeling as she integrates herself into the daily hustle and bustle of Ponyville, and perhaps gains more than she could have hoped for.

Enter the creature. During a routine trip to Baltimare for one of Trixie's shows, the pair of obviously straight and marely mares stumble across a strange, bipedal creature that neither of them can fully explain. It resembles what Starlight remembers to be called a 'hoo-man', but they're supposed to be myth!

It's also... really well-muscled and tall, borderline predatory. Powerful, imposing, cute... picks up Equestrian remarkably quickly. Oh, and it seems to react strangely to magic.

Naturally, Starlight's first instinct is to bring the creature straight to Twilight in order to determine its origins and ensure it's not a threat. Just as naturally, Trixies' are to lewd the hoo-man and make him theirs before another mare snatches him away.

...friends can make compromises, right?

Handy is not a happy man at the best of times.

He was even less happy to find himself in an alien world that offended the very laws of physics and got injured for his own stubborn refusal to accept the obvious path fate had apparently laid out for him.

For his trouble he is now on a journey, with the long term goal of finding his way back home, only to find himself involved in plots and machinations so far above his head and cares that he quickly becomes a pawn in a game played by powers who care not for his well-being.

Quite like his life back on Earth if you think about it.

Needless to say, Handy does not care for any of it. He is much more preoccupied with the more immediate and pressing mundane concerns of day to day life a human needs to worry about while in Equestria.

Obtaining a new pair of shoes for example.

All this and one almighty hangover, what's the worst that could happen?
