1000 years the ponies have prayed for a saviour to deliver them, whether it was their long lost sun goddess Celestia, or even Nightmare Moon, maybe even the chaos lord Discord, anypony! After suffering under the yoke of a tyrant god for so long, they decided any saviour will do, even a dark demonic overlord. One unicorn sorceress finally decides to take matters into her own hooves. She sets out to the frozen ruins of a long lost Empire in the Crystal Mountains bearing a grand sacrifice of 1000 ponies in an attempt to summon the dark demonic overlord of the Crystal Empire.
When the dark ritual turned up a blank, the universe decides to shuffle in the next best thing. Will he rise up to the expectations of his newfound flock? He'd better, and quickly, for the tyrant god's inquisition is out to get him and the 1000 'blasphemers' involved in his summoning. With a nation to build and an evil tyrant god to fight, never has there been a taller order to fill. But it's alright, he's a dark demonic overlord, right? He quickly finds that with some smokes and mirrors and the help of 1000 very magical ponies, anyone can look the part, even an entirely magic-inert pizza delivery dude.

He fought for humanity for years alongside others of his kind. Humanity in return, cast him out and into the void with no hope of returning home. Now Matthew will remain in the realm of Equestria for the rest of his days. With some luck, he might just find the happiness he has always longed for.

Some in Equestria consider humans as destructive and foul creatures that only wish for war and to benefit themselves. However, others think that they were very kind and compassionate creatures that would go out of their way to help someone in need. Given humanity's past in Equestria, both opinions are right.
This is a story about a man of medicine who believes that everyone deserves another chance at life, even the most wicked of people. However, when he is thrown into Equestria, he encounters both those who wish for other's safety, and those who's greed overpowers the needs of others. The man's morals and willpower will be tested by those who don't care for life.

First Lieutenant Jake Carson is aboard the Starstreaker, the most intelligently designed space craft ever conceived by humanity. During his time on board they are ambushed by a Verix fleet and forced to take drastic measures
It's the year 2853 and the human race is more threatened than ever. The cybernetic species known as the "Verix" had been eliminating any and all life they could find. The war began many years ago, when human kind had been branching itself out to new planets, in hope to control it's growing population. After the discovery of the hostile lifeforms, planets have been under constant war. Human kind is slowly losing the fight, and realized they needed to think of a new strategy, or they'll be eradicated. And so began the age of genetic modifications.
Second Lieutenant Jake Carson, a man fighting in the war for humanities survival, returns from his latest mission. Upon returning he is granted the promotion of First Lieutenant, and is scheduled to begin genetic modifications the next day. Then all hell breaks loose.

Arc One: Contact- Jake finds himself stranded on a planet he's never seen before with other intelligent life. He's on a strict schedule and must make it back to home base before his enemy does, to prepare for the massive battle ahead. Chapters 1-18
Arc Two: Crossfire- The battle is on as Jake (And a certain friend) say their goodbyes for now and make it back to Earth. All of humanity, and more, is at risk of collapse. Not only that, but Jake discovers a small spark in a certain pony... Chapters 19-32
Arc Three: Momentum- With the immediate threat taken care of, Jake and his allies attempt to fortify atop their newfound ally planet. However, before any real progress can be made they are hit with a surprise attack, pushing Luna to make a dire decision. Chapters 33-43
Arc Four: Visions- Jake recovers from his near-death experience with a newfound perspective on the past. While attempting to supress his memories, he was also suppressing his feelings of attachment. Now breaking through these barriers, he will begin to care more for those around him. Chapters 44-54
Arc Five: Relations- Being on temporary leave, Jake uses this chance to get closer to someone he has begun having feelings towards. Hoping to have it flourish into something more. Meanwhile the Verix lurks in the background, learning what they can about this new species. Chapters 55-??
[The the first 12 or so chapters are mostly the events leading up to where Jake is now, and are in 3rd person. The story switches to 1st person after that]

Then things get weird with magic, chaos magic, dark magic - pretty much all sorts of magic. Sombra makes a swipe for revenge, some sinister cult is working in the background, and somehow changelings are involved... or not? It all leaves Jax pretty vexed. Luckily, he has Princess Luna to make him happy.

.........Um, hello, my name is Doctor Daniel Phillips, and I am the lead scientist overseeing the Gateway Project, one of the most cutting-edge technologies in existence today. With it, we can open wormholes to worlds far beyond the reach of conventional space travel, and even into other dimensions if we can work out the right frequency. As of late we have discovered over a dozen habitable worlds that have been slated for colonization, but as of yet no signs of intelligent life. Yet I hold out hope that one day we might find such a world, however remote, and put our best foot forward in opening relations with our new galactic neighbors. Yet not all of the planets we find are poppies and roses, so instead of sending in humans to explore them, we have these little babies.
Oh, right, you can't see me because this is an audio-only feed. My mistake. Well, I guess I'll just have to explain it to you. These cybernetic wolves, known in our group as the Mech Hounds, are outfitted with the most advanced computers in the world, along with some of the most cutting-edge robotics and weapons money can buy. Now right at the moment we only have a dozen of these little critters, but don't let that fool you. Each of these little babies carries enough firepower to level a small town, although it would take them a couple days to do so if they were working alone. They also have the programing to work out almost any situation in a matter of seconds, although they still have many of the logic problems that most computers face when confronted with something that does not fit within the established parameters of their programming. Yet, regardless of their possible shortcomings, they do the heavy lifting upon initial exploration where humans cannot, dealing with threats as they see fit in order to assess the habitability of a planet for human use. I could tell you more, but that would be breaking protocol.
So, without further ado, I'll turn you over to our logistics specialist, who will be happy to tell you all about how these little babies are going to change the world, or rather, worlds, that humanity has come to call home.................

This is a story that delves into the boundary between life and machine, where AI is something that has only been dreamed of, even with the most advanced computers available. Then again, these machines have never encountered magic before, so who knows what might happen. I guess you'll just have to read the book to find out for yourself.
