Celestia isn't as pleased with retirement as she thought she'd be. Sure, the beach is great but it's no longer doing it for the former princess. She has a number of grievances to get off her chest and vents her frustrations in a profanity-laced tirade to Luna.

A new venue is opened up in Equestria, former humans only.
Unknown to most inhabitants of Equestria, members of an alien people have come to live among them. Also unknown is that they're there involuntarily, in the dark as to why and how they're there, transformed into members of the native species.
What many ponies do know, the ones who live in Canterlot at least, is that there's a new venue open in Equestria, very exclusive, but not for the rich elite, nor the cultural avante garde. In fact, there seem to be no rhyme or reason to determining who is allowed and not allowed in on the premises, and despite many petitions to have the discriminating bouncer fired, things go on as usual in this strange new club.
When Twilight Sparkle's Ascension has an unanticipated side effect, the newest princess and her friends must help a second Twilight adjust to her new world...though the mind inside her has a secret that would surprise her new friends.
Twilight Sparkle finally achieved her destiny. She was now a Princess of Equestria, and needless to say her friends were surprised. When a second, unicorn Twilight Sparkle appeared alongside the new alicorn, even Princess Celestia was shocked. Now the Elements of Harmony must help the pony make friends and learn magic, as well as get used to her surprising un-Twilightness.
Meanwhile, a 17 year old high schooler with nothing to do during summer hits his head and wakes up in Equestria. He must now learn how to live his new life as Twilight Sparkle's "twin sister" and survive in a town where a catastrophe happens every Tuesday or so.

One goddamn day that really pisses you off. The 'Summer Sun Celebration' comes around every (your time) August 16th, and it is literally the longest day of the year.

This year just seems to be extra against you; an evil deity that's been banished to the moon for a thousand-so years decides to come back, and boy is she a bitch.
As I've explained to LD, the rating bump from Teen to Mature wasn't exactly my call. A staff member kindly notified me of the rules regarding swearing in the long description of a Teen rated fic. There is no sex, no gore, just pure stupidity without the restraints of a T holding it back.

You are Anonymous, a young scientist working for NASA. Well, worked for NASA that is. A catastrophic work accident resulted in your “death” and ended up sending you to a new dimension, one full of ponies rather than humans. You befriend many of these creatures, meet the princess, and try and find a way for you to get home. However, a dark evil happens to rise from the depths of equestrian hell, and evidently you’re prophesied to stop it. Great.
