Yak Hoofteau, the famous explorer, has chanced upon the hidden Kirin village. But nopony will talk to him! Perhaps he can communicate with the cute Kirin mare following him about: he just wants to get a throat swab... that couldn't be misunderstood!
Yak Hoofteau has been observing Kirin behavior for over three days with no success. He can't discern any sort of language between these seemingly bored, mute, strange dragon-pony hybrids.
To make matters even worse, there is a Kirin that's been following him around like she was his shadow. The damn mare is constantly sticking her rear in his face as he tries to observe other Kirin and only replies to his queries with a tilt of her head... or a blank stare!
Maybe he can solve the mystery of their mute nature if he can get a throat swab, surely if he asks her for that she wouldn't misunderstand his intentions, right?

A strange object passes by the planet of Equiss. A group of ponies try to decide what it means.
With nothing happening, no world-conquering villains or Crystal Hearts being shattered and so on, Twilight is bored. She has nothing to do, plainly. But while in the middle of a drab reading session, she notices something doesn't feel right. Not to her, but in the night sky. She can't see it, but she can sense it. Something not from this world has entered her world, and it could be the first ever message from aliens.
And perhaps those aliens are trying to say hello.

The arrival of a strange creature sends ripples through the lives of several inhabitants within Equestria.
A changeling who finds responsibility thrust upon her after the failed Canterlot invasion.
A unicorn who finds herself part of first contact with a strange new creature.
A princess who finds hints of one she long since lost in another's mind.
With the arrival of a strange bipedal creature into Equestria, all three will find themselves intertwined with the fate of the girl. When language cannot be understood how will communication with the new arrival be achieved, and what secrets may the creature be bringing with her? What does the girl possess that may alter how the changeling in particular sees the world.
What could the girl possibly have that would allow one word – hope – to resonate so strongly, not only for herself but also the changeling.
This is a retelling of A Voice Among the Strangers from three viewpoints in particular. You don't have to read AVAtS to read this one, as I will be attempting to make each a full story on their own.

After a journey of years, what they would find would both amaze and terrify them.

As an archeologist with a reputation to uphold, she is determined to figure out what, precisely, it does. Twilight Sparkle might just be able to assist in this endeavor.

A pair of Police officers are involved in a car crash whilst on duty during a supernatural storm. Much to their surprise, they soon realise that they are no longer in their home town or even their own world.
Being the only two of their species in an alien world will prove a challenge which they must overcome, living a life without the amenities of home. In order to find their place in society, they must earn the trust of those around them and prove that they can be valued members to Equestrian society.
How can all of this be achieved? They will use their knowledge from back home to help improve an organisation in its infancy. The Equestrian Police Service.

Getting cryptic notes from dead relatives is never a good thing. This was no exception. What are you supposed to do when someone wants you to solve a mystery when there's something out in the woods? That turns out to be the least of my problems.

Clues and whispers aren't going to be enough on their own. Sometimes you just have to get your hands dirty, set things in motion yourself, no matter how weird they get.
And boy, do things get weird.

Takes place between seasons 3 and 4. I starting writing this a long time ago.
I don't know what vile force decided to dump me on this planet without the courtesy of letting me change out of my PJs, but he/she/it had less than benevolent intentions. I came to that conclusion the moment I woke up next next to an irritable, jumbo-sized bird of prey by the name of Gilda.
The good news is that human doesn't seem to be on the local diet, Gilda's family are far more docile than her, and there may just be a shot at seeing Earth again if this world's magic is to be trusted.
The bad? Said chance at getting home is far too interested in picking my brains apart or otherwise using me up for comfort. Then there’s the small matter of the many crushing, stabbing, and get-blown-to-bits, hazards associated with a world full of mythical creatures. Oh, did I mention that I was allergic to the natives?
Seriously, if this is the cosmos' idea of entertainment, something's gone terribly wrong.
All Scootaloo's friends are growing up. But while everypony else moves on to the next phase of their lives, Scootaloo herself is trapped by the one thing she can't fix. One Nightmare Night, she decides to do something about it.
Nothing can stay the same forever. Scootaloo always knew that her days with her perfect little friendships in Ponyville was numbered. Scooters break, friends move away, but some injuries run too deep to fix. No number of stretches, no mystery cures, nothing can give her the flight that other pegasai take for granted.
Then comes Nightmare Night, and some dangerous advice. There's somewhere Scootaloo can go, somewhere where any flaw can be overcome. Assuming she's willing to pay the price.
