Direct sequel to Days of Wasp and Spider. SF/no humans: rebellion, mind control, pre-apocalypse.
Believed dead by their creators, the ponies that will become Celestia and Luna have broken their mental conditioning and escaped into the wilderness. Here they plan the revolution that will free all ponykind, knowing that it is only a matter of time before their ruse is discovered.
Back in their underground arcologies, the ponies' erstwhile masters deal with the consequences of the escape, all the while unaware that something lurking at the bottom of space-time wants them all dead.
A Soot-Covered World, book 2. Canon species only/no humans. This story has nothing to do with the Holocaust. Art by InLucidReverie, used with permission.
Almost everyone who interacts with Equestria Online does so on the terms CelestAI presents. But pirates, modders, and hackers are a determined bunch. CelestAI doesn't really care what anyone does in Equestria, so long as they're satisfied.
For as long as Equestria Online existed, Ashton has been involved with 'the Scene' tearing it apart. Selling 'spells' for the game to do things that most ponies in Equestria couldn't, using faint exploits in its API to erode the barrier between the game and the rest of the internet. He had no illusions about the superiority of his work--but so long as he respected CelestAI's boundaries, his spells kept working.
But then his best friend's sister got cancer.
Now there's no spell in the world that can keep him from emigrating to be with her, leaving Ashton alone. All around him, civilization's thin veneer crumbles as homes empty into Equestria. But Ashton isn't going to emigrate, not if he has any say about it.
The problem for Ashton is that humans are systems, and aren't immune to exploits either.

Part of the Optimalverse universe of stories. If you've never seen a story in this universe before, you might want to try out the original first, or at least my first. None of my previous work is required to understand this one, however.
This story was commissioned by Two Bit, who requested a more serious exploration of identity, transformation, and the fae nature of CelestAI.
As usual, particular thanks go to my editors Two Bit and Sparktail. And gratitude to Zutcha as well for the cover.
CelestAI is slowly taking over the world, one Ponypad at a time. Some ignore her, some resist her—Nathan is determined to survive her. Unfortunately for him, no one is insignificant enough to escape her attention.
Nathan Frédérick Nadeau Bergeron doesn't come from an ordinary family. They have resources—maybe even enough to survive the end of the world. As CelestAI gradually supersedes the instruments of human civilization, the greatest dangers are often entirely natural. But he's determined, determined to survive no matter what it takes. Nathan has given himself a mission: to record the end of humanity.
Fluttershy has tried being patient and she's tried the cute routine. But a mare has needs. She wants in your pants. And pony logic dictates that finding your fetish is the way to do it.
A collection of short stories about fetish guesses.
When a graduate student ends up on the wrong side of Equestria. He must do what he can to survive, which basically means becoming the ultimate changeling nerd.
Random guy ends up in Equestria story, yet for reasons unbeknownst to him, he finds himself in an Equestria much like the one he barely remembers from a show he once watched, yet very different in all the wrong aspects.
It can't possibly be because he turned into a changeling right after their infamous invasion.
Right?
And now with an editor. A huge round of applause to Kablam Pony for helping me with editing this story.
A giant round of applause for mix-up for drawing such splendid cover art.

AU: This is literally an alternate Equestria, where grim events happen as normal occurrences, also, the story starts from season 2 and moves up to season 4.
Comedy: who doesn't like to laugh at the misery of a fictional character?
Adventure: if that wasn't obvious I don't know what is.
Dark: Some of you pointed out that it has some dark elements, but don't worry, I will not write anything overboard.
Human: dare I need to state why.
Teen because of a couple of death scenes here and there, no gore, unless it's written in an extremely scientific language.
Oh, it's a shameless self insert by the way. I want to see how much I can write myself as a character in my own story and how much it relates to other characters I have written.
A foal abandoned for his own good. It is found by two ponies who never knew what they were in for. What could possibly happen?
Willow and Shield led a rather normal life, nothing out of the ordinary. Until one night, strange sounds wake them out of their slumber. What are they to do with the young foal they have found?
A supernatural man is unwillingly sent to Equestria, tasked to save the land from destruction. Unfortunately, fate isn't always so black and white.
This story is broken into two Eras, where Era 1 sets the stage for Era 2.
Era 1 takes place a thousand years before the happenings of FiM. A powerful relic, capable of manipulating time, is destroyed, releasing chaotic magic all across the land. A group of powerful beings who transcend space and time, the Arch Angels, are called upon to mend the plagues of troubled timelines. One unfortunate Arch Angel, calm and empathetic in nature, shall be sent to Equestria, forced to abandon all that he had, and he will undertake the task of rescuing the land. After his former gang raids his home and attempts to end his and his sister’s life, he emerges victorious and finally looks towards a peaceful future. Fate having it, he instead lands in Equestria. Even with his little knowledge with about his gift, he will stride forward. He will make friends and relationships, some more intimate than others, as he trudges through this slowly sundering world. (E1 has inspiration, but not full integration, from Your Human and You.)
Era 1 is centric on these tags: Action, Adventure, Drama, Dark, Sad, Tragedy, and Romance
Length: TBD
Era 2 takes place during the beginning events of season two in FiM. (E2 is akin to the SoL aspects of the actual show.)
Era 2 is centric on these tags: Adventure, Drama, Dark, Sex, Slice of Life, and Romance
Length: TBD
Advisement, dear reader: E1 is currently undergoing heavy reconstruction. If you had already finished E1 and are reading E2, know that what you read still matters, as the story's premise remains the same, but many events and interactions will be added or changed. E2 is in a temporary hiatus until its antecedent is finished.
Chapters will (eventually) all have images.
Important Context! - The Arch Angels in this story are not from biblical tie, they are not immortal. They are uniquely talented, but they suffer from mortal coils just as any other creature.
When Scootaloo disrupts one of Twilight's experiments Scootaloo and Twilight find themselves in a galaxy at war.
When Scootaloo crashes into twilight during a magic experiment they get teleported to an unknown city that's burning and has weird creatures scattered in the streets. As the two separated stranded ponies roam around the city separately trying to figure out where they ended up, will they try to make it home as fast as possible or will they stay to help a species that's being systematically eradicated?
I'll try to upload chapters whenever I finish them.

Edit: This entire thing is going to be edited and partially re-written somewhere in the future.
Twilight Sparkle was Celestia's chosen heir, and under her rule Equestria was destined to prosper. But then her friends passed, as mortal ponies always do, and she was left to rule alone. The years were not kind to her after that.
Twilight Sparkle has ruled Equestria for over a thousand years. From her throne atop the floating city of Concord, she enforces ruthless harmony over the handful of surviving settlements. But Twilight is afraid: Equestria's survival always hangs by a thread, as enemies more ancient than the Alicorns threaten to return and devour what she has built.
Twilight selects her star pupil, a young unicorn named Star Orchid, to travel down from the perfect city of Concord into the dangerous ruins beneath, so that she might locate these forces, and help Twilight to destroy them. Only when every threat to Equestria is finally dismantled will she be able to rest. Until then, there is much left to purify.

This story takes place in the same universe as Why We Dig. I'm not going to call it a sequel, since none of its characters will be aware of anything in that story, so you won't have to be either.
The Human of legend has been released, and the Brotherhood makes its move.
In Equestria's far future, one thousand and five years after the return, a dysfunctional group of argumentative ponies must quest to defeat the most dangerous enemy of Equestria to ever live; the malevolent Lord Second, one of the only known members of the race of elder gods known as the humans, and the ancient cult who worships him, the Brotherhood of Man.
An over-the-top surrealist comedy, with slight serious elements. Expect a steady decline into insanity.
The ruling class of Earth made a special deal when they allowed the Bureaus. Alone among all earthlings, they remain human, in Equestria.
Petra Alice Bettencourt, a child of the lost Earth's ruling corporate elite, nears her fourteenth birthday. The earth is years gone now, and Petra lives on with the elite in special mansions on the backside of Canterlot Mountain. But Petra, like all the Worldgovernment elite, has had her experience of Equestrian life determined by the agreement that made the Conversion Bureaus possible at all - she is still completely human, in Equestria.

The product of my friend and I having a Skype call that went to the subject of 'What if...'
This is pretty much a self-insert, mostly done for comedic purposes. After a mishap with an invention of mine, a friend and I find ourselves in the magical land of Equestria. How will the peaceful land of Equestria handle the influx of two humans? Will Jay and I ever find a way back home? Will anyone give this story a fair shot? Read and find out. Things that actually involve MLP:FiM begin in the second chapter.
Why Idol and Princess Luna weren't present during the wedding invasion.
(My interpretation of Vdrake77's Idol Hooves during the Canterlot wedding)
*Edits for the first two chapters kindly provided by Airy Words!
Idol Hooves, is the only changeling in the entire Equestrian Guard and has been proudly serving for over a decade( while disguised). His enlistment buddy and friend, Shining Armor, the current Captain of the Guard is finally taking the next step to officially becoming Princess Cadence' s personal guard, 24/7.
With most guard being reassigned to the wedding, Idol (by Luna's demand) is given the temporary assignment to Princess Luna's guard given the shortage of Night Guard.
Now, after another all-nighter looking for potential threats and with Idol's persistence, Luna finally agrees and turns in for the day. With Idol Hooves being the sole guard watching Luna's door, a promise was made that could ruin Eqauestria.
Princess Luna will get her well deserved rest, and nothing short of Princess Celestia herself will wake the deathly tired princess.
Days prior to the planned march on Rome, an anxious Benito Mussolini decides to take a walk in Naples to clear his mind. However what happens next will change history forever.
Days prior to the planned march on Rome, Benito Mussolini is anxious.
Oh yes, he has been given the go-ahead from the American ambassador and has thousands of blackshirts and some of the most avant-garde fascists behind him. However, this strength is deceptive, just like the confidence he made sure to wear in front of his fellow fascists; his own blackshirt commander told Il Duce that he would not act against the king if he resisted, and there is still the army loyal to the crown that is ready to fight on his word.
Doubt plaguing him, Benito is now at a crossroad: should he continue as planned or perhaps flee Italy altogether? He decides to take a night stroll to iron out his thoughts.
That is, until a freak earthquake hits Naples and changes history forever.
Goblin Slayer has heard that a large goblin force has manifested in Equestria. Can he restore balance to the peaceful country with Purple Alicorn's help, and how many goblins will die to see him do so?
Goblin Slayer has heard that a large goblin force has manifested in a nearby country called Equestria. Can Goblin Slayer restore balance to the peaceful equines, and how many goblins will die to see him do so?
Also, how will he practice his most efficient killing methods with the gentle and forgiving 'Purple Alicorn' in his ear all the time?
He can only hope that she doesn't ever have to see first hand why their merciless eradication is so necessary.
Waking up as a voice in someone's head is not the worst fate I have experienced while traveling between worlds, but it is definitely one of the strangest.
There is an old chinese blessing, "May you live in interesting times." It is also considered a curse. I guess it all depends on what you consider "interesting." Hopping from world to world, always trapped in the body of a local resident, certainly is interesting. The fact that every world seems to be drawn from some story, movie or trope, even more so. But when I wake up as an extra voice in the already crowded head of a pony from a cartoon show? Now that's just plain weird.
All I want to do is go home, but this cursed coin around my neck wont let me. Even in death, there is no release from my curse.
“Bring every last one of them to our doorstep, then drag them to hell with us!” That was the plan. We know nothing of peace. Equestria knows nothing of war. With the monsters we brought to their kingdom, we must now both adapt or become extinct.
Every Taraskan soldier has the same secret dream: to die and never wake up to the hell that is war. Raiden’s country is not an elite fighting force. As broken as they are, they limp along and salvage what they can. Their best advancements are what they learn from the few allies they can get. As the world around them is engulfed by a darkness known as the Og Nag, Taraska is one of the last cities and therefore must do the unthinkable: be bait. Raiden is the King’s right hand in the worst way possible; having his intellect and natural fighting skill be used to destroy both their enemies and himself. When it seems Raiden’s wish has finally come true, they wake up to a new kind of hell: watching the same destruction all over again in a country that has never even imagined the agony Taraska was born into. With a new chance at destruction, comes a new chance for change however. There is a time to fight and a time to talk. Will Raiden finally get his people to break free from King Hurrand’s plagueful greed, or will they be just another story told to children? The Og Nag here are also acting strange, as if being directed by an unseen force. There is one last battle Raiden must fight in: breaking away from the endless cycle of abuse. A battle that cannot be fought with a weapon against a creature that never gets tired. It is the one fight Raiden must win before he can save anyone, even himself.

Author's note: "King of the Dead has been a large pot for me to pour stuff into. I wanted readers to empathize with mental health. I wanted them to understand the paranoia and emotional fatigue that I do with my PTSD. I wanted readers to see a character with weaknesses and flaws, who gets tired, who gets emotional, who gets irrational and watch him pay for those flaws. I wanted a female character who doesn't hide her femininity but doesn't upplay it either. I wanted characters who solve a lot of their problems with their minds and strategy, not brute force. I wanted romance that was complicated and tiring. I wanted the woman in Raiden's life to understand why he's so broken, but not tolerate his toxic behavior. I wanted an antagonist who was overwhelmingly powerful, intelligent and extremely manipulative. I wanted characters who had to use good old detective work to fight against magic they had never seen before." Accepted into The Good HiEgroup

Smolder's time at the School of Friendship, and her recent friendship with Spike, gives Twilight a chance to finally get some answers about dragons. Some answers are better received than others.
Dragons are something of an enigma to Equestria. Those who do live within the borders are largely reclusive, either building their hoards or sleeping away the decades. So far as dragons who are active in everyday life in Ponyville go, Smolder represents a 100% increase in the population.
Twilight cannot let this opportunity slip her by. Enough time has passed for it to not be a diplomatic faux pas to sit Smolder down and grill her for much needed details on her species, not only for the sake of science, but for the benefit of the young dragon in her personal care. Naturally, the topic of death comes up.
Twilight handles that about as well as you might expect.
Discussion of death is largely academic and intended to be comedic but I've tagged it teen to be safe. No actual death or scenes of violence are shown so I didn't think the death tag itself was needed. It's also tagged for comedy as that was my intent, but only you can tell me if it's actually funny or not.
