A man wakes up to find he's inhabiting the body of cartoon horse who wasn't exactly Mister Popular judging from how shocked they are when he says things like 'please' and 'thank you'.
The daily lives of the royal princesses, often times is pretty simple. Wake up, raise or lower their celestial bodies, hold court, meetings, sleep, and repeat. Oh, and dealing with their infuriating nephew! Overall, things aren't all that easy for them but it's manageable and mundane.
But when an innocent wish came true, both sisters are now facing a new Blueblood. One that can be considered better, yet for some reason, this version seems to have forgotten how magic works and keeps looking at the world like a newborn baby.
So what happens now? Did their wish actually come true? Is it some sort of act? Has he been replaced by a changeling? And what does this new Blueblood mean for Equestria?
Only one thing is for sure, shenanigans will appear and a lot of ponies are about to spit their coffee. Look out Equestria! There is a new Blueblood on the loose, and this one might actually be worthy of the title 'Prince'.
The 'Romance' tag is for events that happen later on the chapters
Sometimes, the stress of helping bickering couples is a bit too much - and what better way for a changeling to relax than a day at the spa?
Sometimes, Spotlight - or, Psych Ologist, as known by the masses - needs some time to unwind. And, between bickering couples, Cloud Kicker's horrible aura of train-wreckery and the Cutie Mark Crusader Lemonade Fabricators, 'unwinding' may need a little more than the typical 'Two' he gets from his friends at the Spa. No, this time, he's getting a Four. Oh yeah, things just got serious.
Non-canon oneshot set in the Winningverse ~ Title for Chono
If you travel across Equestria end to end, you can find almost anything. Magical artifacts of unknown power, demons, angels, and gods all wander the world with complete freedom. However, the one place all stand as equals is a lone inn.
There exists in any given location either an inn or bar where the locals meet at the end of a long work day and trade drinks and stories. By the ancient laws of happenstance, the same must be true for areas where the permanent population is exactly one. Now, most would assume it would default to those creatures preferred drinking area in their own house. These people have never been to the only truly lonely place in Equestria. On the border of the unending sea and the badlands there sits an Inn, with a strange bartender. If one comes seeking riches or fame, he will gladly kick you out, stating the only riches here are booze and misery. But if you come for a strong drink and an ear to listen to your problems, then you have found your home.
Rocking the featured box again. Can I get a hoorah? 2/12/19 for those curious.
Embracing the power to share love rather than steal it, the changelings work to reinvent themselves and their kingdom, while Thorax seeks to introduce a more peaceful hive to Equestria.
Following the defeat of Queen Chrysalis, the princesses of Equestria seek to build a relationship with newly-crowned King Thorax and forge an alliance between ponies and changelings that has never been seen before.
While the changelings adjust to the broad, sympathetic intricacies of shared love magic, Thorax works to embrace his role as the hive's new patriarch, demonstrating a benevolent rule far different from his predecessor. Through sleeping and resting together in groups, he aims to cultivate harmony and empathy in a once turbulent hive and find a place for himself within it at last.
With the help of Equestrian royalty, a few good friends, and his brooding older brother, Thorax must now champion the idea of peaceful changelings in Equestria and show the world that his kind can change more than just their looks.

Follow Benkei as he tutors Twilight and her friends as their mentor, delves deeper into the true meaning of friendship, and displays his loyalty to his friends by fulfilling his true purpose for being sent to Equestria.
A Japanese warrior monk, known as Saito Musashibo Benkei, finds himself still alive and kicking, despite having died only days earlier. He finds himself in a strange, confusing, yet wondrous land, full of magical talking ponies who speak an equally bizzare language.
Follow Benkei as he copes with his new world, discovers new allies and friends, and comes to appreciate his new life. But Benkei was not sent to Equestria by chance to enjoy himself and live the rest of his days happily and care free. He was sent for a reason.
He was sent to help.
He was sent to enlighten others.
But most importantly, he was sent, to save Equestria.
Meanwhile, an oddly intelligent bunny by the name of Akeeta befriends Benkei, discovers the truth behind her consciousness, all while dealing with mixed feelings about a certain white bunny.
Note: Character tags will be added as they appear in the story. The mane 6, Spike, and Princess Celestia are the main cast from the show appearing in this story, but appear later on.
This will be my first shot at a historical fiction (sort've, since it's a legend crossed with MLP) , which means I actually had to do a fair bit of research on Japanese warrior monks and folklore to accomplish accurately and smoothly. That said, this is fiction, this is the MLP Universe, and Benkei himself is from a legend, so its still gonna be pretty unrealistic in that sense. I decided against using the japanese names for armor as it just serves to confuse people. However, if you prefer the japanese names, here is a helpful diagram. Also, the weapon Benkei is holding in the cover art is a naginata, in case that wasn't clear.
Also, for those wondering, no, Benkei will not be speaking Japanese for the whole story as I don't actually speak Japanese and have been relying on painstaking crosschecking with google translate to get the simple Japanese phrases that have been included to make sense when translated back to English. Don't worry, he'll be speaking English soon enough.
Lastly, this story will be updated every month . Its sortve a background project I want to continue to write to see how far I can take it while I write other things.
Side Note: Sex Tag is for references to sex, talk about sex, and some heated situations. This is a teen story, and there will be no directly written clop. Sorry!
Comments are very much welcome, even if you just want to say you hate it, so long as a valid reason is provided to enable me to grow as a writer. Thanks for reading!
Below is a simple summary of Benkei's REAL legend that happened preceeding chapter 1, and partially during the prologue.
Japanese legend tells of a man named Saito Musashibo Benkei. The origins of his birth are unknown, and the first time Benkei was seen, he was a fully grown man. After joining a monastery of monks, and then being exiled from it Benkei built a shrine next to a bridge and stood guard. He defeated 999 swordsmen before being bested, and in a display of honor, he became his adversary's retainer. Benkei fought during the Genpei wars, the giant of a man bringing death on the swift wings of his naginata, a bladed pole sword. He lived a long and exciting life, but all good things come to an end, and Benkei died defending the bridge to his master's castle. He defeated 300 samurai before finally dying of mortal wounds, but Benkei did not fall. He died standing up, at least that's how the legend goes.
Incognito is a young changeling nymph now living in Ponyville under the new rule of the Equine-Changeling Peaceful Living Treaty. All he wants is a snack, but his prey/friends are quite adamant in making it exceedingly difficult to enjoy his hunt.
Changelings are mighty hunters, capable of imitating anything they choose to perfection. Naturally stealthy, soft on their hooves, and cunning to a fault, there is no doubt that they sit on top of the food chain. Incognito is a proud changeling and looks down on his friends prey from his lofty spot above them all, confident that his spot at the pinnacle of the food chain is secure. After all, his race is without equal, their strength unquestionable ...
With the exception of a small, little nerve cluster at the tip of their snouts. It doesn't help that everypony in Ponyville knows about it, too.
'Nito really wishes they didn't.

Mark Watney is stranded- the only human on Mars. But he's not alone- five astronauts from a magical kingdom are shipwrecked with him.
Twilight Sparkle's experimental interplanetary drive has malfunctioned, stranding Starlight Glimmer, Spitfire, Cherry Berry, a changeling and a dragon on a hostile planet in another universe. With limited food supplies, very little magic, no communications with home, and no way to leave the planet, they must survive until somepony rescues them.
Fortunately they crashed right next door to another creature with the exact same problem- a creature named Mark Watney.
They're going to science the buck out of everything- and do whatever it takes to survive Mars and get everybody home.
Shortly after Dragonfly's emergence from her stasis cocoon she finds that her situation is still desperately in need of emotional and magical sustenance. The changeling will need to turn to new, lewd, methods of feeding if she hopes to escape mars!
Set just after Mars Ares mission date Sol 287, when Dragonfly, the plucky engineer changeling of the castaway crew of five Equestrians cohabiting with Mark Watney (recently stranded Earth astronaut), has emerged from her self-imposed exile in a long term cocoon.
She'd imprisoned herself out of concern for her crewmates when her stock of magical energies dropped so low that she found herself attacking Mark Watney to drain him of his delicious emotions and magic. Her months-long sentence helped her to recover... but not fully.
With nothing else to support herself with, Dragonfly turns to a forbidden source of magical and emotional sustenance, long-denied to changelings: lust.
Follow along as she desperately tries to convince Starlight Glimmer and Mark Watney to do the dirty deed together... so that she can refuel off their little tryst!
SPOILER: Contains human on pony action! If you find such things squick, look elsewhere!
Celestia has an offer for Chrysalis, one that will change both their lives forever.
My life was over. Forsaken by my children and with my home in ruins, I took refuge in the deepest, darkest corner of the world as I could. Starving and alone, it was there that I waited for my end to come. However, I did not count on Celestia herself to come searching for me, nor the deal she would offer so eagerly.
I am Chrysalis, Queen of the Changelings...
...and this is how I become the Mistress of the Sun.
Dark times lay ahead for the ponies of Equestria. A dark force comes to take their lands and their magic, to leave them all but helpless. Subjugated to life under a tyrant, their only salvation will come in the form of a champion, a champion who wrestles bears for fun. Zangief, the Red Cyclone, is their only hope.
Unfortunately for them, he's playing for the wrong team.
Zangief will be based on all of his best traits with as much personality as I could find from within his quotes. Don't take this story too seriously, it's done for fun. All my information came from the games and comics. LARIAT.
You've been noticing a lingering shadow following you, and it's driving you to the brink of madness. It's almost like this strange being wants to remind you of something that you've worked hard to forget...
Everything should be all fun and games in Ponyville, but it's not. Not for you anyway. Not anymore. You've been noticing a lingering shadow following you, a strange ominous shape, and it's driving you to the brink of madness now. It's almost like this strange being wants to remind you of something that you desperately don't want to remember...
Spike embarks on a quest to defeat the hidden, the powerful, and the... strangely sexy Chrysalis. After defeating her with something other than his sword, they begin a secret relationship, causing Twilight to stalk him during his nightly rendezvous.
You finally gather the strength to inform a certain yellow pegasus that you possess feelings for her.
Fluttershy has always struck you as the most down-to-earth, beautiful, and angelic of ponies. No other has captured your heart like she has. But of course, she doesn't know that. In this particular encounter with the dainty, timid mare, you finally confess feelings, and things go a place you never could've dreamed.
For a change of pace, the Cutie Mark Crusaders spend a day with their big sisters: just not the ones they were born with. This is Scootaloo's day...
Scootaloo might be no good at sums, but she knows Scootaloo plus scooter equals the fastest, awesomest, most attention-grabbing-est thing on the ground.
She also knows Applejack minus anyone actually fun to be with equals one really lame time.
And yet, spending a day with the Apple farmer and her broader Apple family seems strangely attractive to her. They might not be the most exciting of ponies, (and when it comes to cool, they're certainly the most clueless), but they have something Scootaloo really, really wants. Deep down. Something she keeps coming back for.
Not that she's going to admit it. Cos that would be seriously lame.
Right before the Elements struck, the Nightmare unleashed a spell out of desperation. A substitution spell. Otherwise known as the correct use of Kawarimi.
As the elements were unleashed, the Nightmare knew it was over. But it would not let it's fun end. No, it would not be left behind. It would find another world to bring to ruin. As for the poor sap that was left in It's place? He was going to get blasted, what did it matter what he ended up getting from It?
Sunset Shimmer dreamed of bringing her knowledge back to Equestria, but not as an invader. If she wants Equestria to survive, she's going to have to help the humans save it—without helping them become its new rulers.

She isn't alone. One of her human friends, now trapped as a cybernetic bat pony, is sent on a covert mission of her own. Equestria may depend on them in ways they never could've realized.
Updates Thursdays.
This story is meant as a companion to Harmony Defended, and to take the place of the long-anticipated revision. I decided it would be better to write something new than to overhaul something that was so long in itself. This story will probably spoil various elements of that one, though the reverse will largely not be true. If all of this seems confusing, you should probably start with my first story in this series, My Little Apprentice. As that story was written in Season 4, this one will not necessarily incorporate the canon of future seasons of Friendship is Magic.
The Sunset Campaign was sponsored by Two Bit on my Patreon, who is generously sponsoring me to clean up my tangled web of previous stories. Sparktail and Two Bit did the editing, and Zutcha did the cover.
Changelings aren't the only ones who can have secrets, as Shapedance is about to discover
Every week around the same time, Skywrite the pegasus leaves his little cottage in the woods to “pick up groceries,” and every week around the same time, Petalgrown the pegasus welcomes him home with a few hours of cuddling and his favorite dinner on the table. Of course, not everything here is as it seems. For one thing, there’s the dinner. French fried potatoes? Who’s ever heard of such a thing!? For another thing, there’s the way Sky looks at his hooves sometimes, as if trying to will something else to be there. Also, as a footnote, Petalgrown is one of the hundreds of changelings thrown free of Canterlot during the failed invasion attempt, and has been living off Skywrite’s strange, fiery love ever since.
As time goes on and questions about the strange, loving pegasus start piling up, she grows determined to discover the truth behind the pony she finds herself growing more and more intrigued with. Of course, it could be something even crazier than “love-sucking, shape-changing bug-pony,” but that’s just speculation. After all, there’s no way a pony could ever hide such a strange secret from a creature born of secrets, right? Why, it would take something very unpony-like to pull that off, wouldn’t it?
Three best friends end up in Equestria but not all of them are ponies. One who isn't a brony, and even borderlines on being a hater, is a griffin. Another who is more calculating and cocky but hates hiding is a changeling. Finally the last of them is a unicorn who's special talent is that he adapts and overcomes. Together these three best friends will fight changelings, ponies, demigods, and the god of chaos himself. Artwork by Sara Germany ([email protected]). (http://saracorgi.deviantart.com/ )
There is a hidden village deep within the untamed forest surrounding Neighagara Falls. Should one ever journey to this village, the changelings who live there will welcome them for a simple price: love.
There is a hidden village deep within the untamed forest surrounding Neighagara Falls. Should one ever journey to this village, those who live there will welcome them for a simple price: love.
When the village accepts a new family from Cloudsdale, a not-quite-altruistic pair of changeling siblings offer a young filly friendship and a chance to find her place in the strange village she hopes to call home.
