When one fateful search through the Everfree Forest leads Rarity to a secret library inhabited by the spirit of an ancient alicorn princess, she realises that it may be time to start believing in fairy tales.
Everypony enjoys myths and ponytales, even if they know such things aren't real. Alicorns fighting against a spirit of chaos? An ancient princess trapped in a library under a tree, waiting to be found? Quite enchanting and fantastic tales yes, but nonetheless as fictional as Daring Do and other such stories. At least, that's what Rarity used to think.
She doesn't anymore.

One moment he was in his bedroom, trying to get to sleep. The next, he's in a dark forest, with a moon that's twice the size it should be.
An ordinary man finds himself lost in a place with no memory of how he got there, thick darkness all about him and no idea where he is. Now he has to find food, shelter, and somehow a way home.

But learning to overcome their fears and achieve their desires comes at a steep price, paid by their innocence.
If eating too much cake was the worst since I became Celestia I would be happy... but I guess I am not that lucky.
For a 1000 years she has been the sun of the Kingdom of Equestria, the sole ruler and forever the mother of her little ponies. but not everything is as it seems. Celestia is not just any alicorn princess, there is something that made her change several things, that made her act different sometimes, or at least for the last 3 centuries, why?
Because now... I am Celestia.
And now I know the meaning of sacrifice, of pain, of how power can hurt.
But now, I wonder, can I save everyone and bring back the real Eternal Sun back home? Or is the world doomed to be destroyed? Am I worthy of this crown? Well, they say Hope Rides Alone and it has a White Coat.
Of course... that doesn't mean I cannot have fun from time to time.

Nightmare Moon has been defeated, and Twilight Sparkle has chosen to continue to live in Ponyville. But such a move requires all her belongings from Canterlot to be brought over, so one day, all of her new friends help her out with them. As she gets settled in, however, she starts to become curious about the Golden Oak Library.
Specifically, she wonders if she's the first pony to live there.
After finishing Living and Dying in Equestria... Well I just can't get Twilight out of my head so we continue! You should read Living and Dying in Equestria first otherwise you may be more then a little confused. The Teen rating represents some lovemaking between Twilight and I. Nothing graphic or discriptive so I'm not sure if it's needed but better safe then sorry eh? I finally figued out how to use the colors. So for Twilight and I's telepathic communication I am Green and she is of course Purple. Just to clear up any confusion. When Andrew wakes up in Equestria, he makes a rather large impact. Well, as large an a impact as a normal 20 something guy falling from about 20000 feet can make. Will he make friends in this strange but oddly familiar world? Or will the absence of his sister drive him closer to the edge? Strange things are happening in Equestria, will Andrew be able survive being at the center of them all?

The daily lives of the royal princesses, often times is pretty simple. Wake up, raise or lower their celestial bodies, hold court, meetings, sleep, and repeat. Oh, and dealing with their infuriating nephew! Overall, things aren't all that easy for them but it's manageable and mundane.
But when an innocent wish came true, both sisters are now facing a new Blueblood. One that can be considered better, yet for some reason, this version seems to have forgotten how magic works and keeps looking at the world like a newborn baby.
So what happens now? Did their wish actually come true? Is it some sort of act? Has he been replaced by a changeling? And what does this new Blueblood mean for Equestria?
Only one thing is for sure, shenanigans will appear and a lot of ponies are about to spit their coffee. Look out Equestria! There is a new Blueblood on the loose, and this one might actually be worthy of the title 'Prince'.

After my grandfather passed away I inherited a strange staff from him. I discovered that the staff gave me strange visions of a place I had to go to. I experienced visions, day and night, and in the end I decided to follow them to see where they would take me. I did not expect to be taken away from Earth and sent to a place that defies everything I know, and I certainly did not expect to hear that not all the members of my family were human.

In the near future mankind was driven into a biochemical war against an unidentifiable contagion created by an asteroid that struck the planet. Without no cure or any form of escape, mankind buried themselves and awaited their extinction.
In the year 2036 an asteroid dubbed "Apophis" struck the Earth and contaminated fifty percent of its water and atmosphere with an extraterrestrial pathogen dubbed "The SOL Strain." After two years, sixty percent of all human life was gone! With the world's governments struggling to keep their countries together; all seemed lost.
That is where my story begins.
My name is Chloe Cooper and I'm the only known human to be genetically immune to the SOL Virus. During the pandemic, I volunteered myself for experimentation. In order to keep me safe, I and three other humans were locked away in a vault deep within the Appalachian mountains. There these people, who I soon considered my friends, ran many tests on me and the virus, however after months without contact from above it was time to put the project to rest.
Cryostasis pods dubbed: "Cocoons" had been built in case we failed. 16,000 years later I awoke to sirens, signaling a whole host of problems.
And now? I'm the last of my kind.

Follow Benkei as he tutors Twilight and her friends as their mentor, delves deeper into the true meaning of friendship, and displays his loyalty to his friends by fulfilling his true purpose for being sent to Equestria.
A Japanese warrior monk, known as Saito Musashibo Benkei, finds himself still alive and kicking, despite having died only days earlier. He finds himself in a strange, confusing, yet wondrous land, full of magical talking ponies who speak an equally bizzare language.
Follow Benkei as he copes with his new world, discovers new allies and friends, and comes to appreciate his new life. But Benkei was not sent to Equestria by chance to enjoy himself and live the rest of his days happily and care free. He was sent for a reason.
He was sent to help.
He was sent to enlighten others.
But most importantly, he was sent, to save Equestria.
Meanwhile, an oddly intelligent bunny by the name of Akeeta befriends Benkei, discovers the truth behind her consciousness, all while dealing with mixed feelings about a certain white bunny.
Note: Character tags will be added as they appear in the story. The mane 6, Spike, and Princess Celestia are the main cast from the show appearing in this story, but appear later on.
This will be my first shot at a historical fiction (sort've, since it's a legend crossed with MLP) , which means I actually had to do a fair bit of research on Japanese warrior monks and folklore to accomplish accurately and smoothly. That said, this is fiction, this is the MLP Universe, and Benkei himself is from a legend, so its still gonna be pretty unrealistic in that sense. I decided against using the japanese names for armor as it just serves to confuse people. However, if you prefer the japanese names, here is a helpful diagram. Also, the weapon Benkei is holding in the cover art is a naginata, in case that wasn't clear.
Also, for those wondering, no, Benkei will not be speaking Japanese for the whole story as I don't actually speak Japanese and have been relying on painstaking crosschecking with google translate to get the simple Japanese phrases that have been included to make sense when translated back to English. Don't worry, he'll be speaking English soon enough.
Lastly, this story will be updated every month . Its sortve a background project I want to continue to write to see how far I can take it while I write other things.
Side Note: Sex Tag is for references to sex, talk about sex, and some heated situations. This is a teen story, and there will be no directly written clop. Sorry!

Below is a simple summary of Benkei's REAL legend that happened preceeding chapter 1, and partially during the prologue.
Japanese legend tells of a man named Saito Musashibo Benkei. The origins of his birth are unknown, and the first time Benkei was seen, he was a fully grown man. After joining a monastery of monks, and then being exiled from it Benkei built a shrine next to a bridge and stood guard. He defeated 999 swordsmen before being bested, and in a display of honor, he became his adversary's retainer. Benkei fought during the Genpei wars, the giant of a man bringing death on the swift wings of his naginata, a bladed pole sword. He lived a long and exciting life, but all good things come to an end, and Benkei died defending the bridge to his master's castle. He defeated 300 samurai before finally dying of mortal wounds, but Benkei did not fall. He died standing up, at least that's how the legend goes.

The parallel universe is indispensable to fanfiction, even in stories where it isn’t addressed as fanfiction by it's nature takes a route that deviates from the established universe. It allows for crossovers, mash-ups, what ifs, and all sorts of other fun stories. My story begins in a nexus between universes, with a father who just wants to let his daughters meet their heroes, and finds himself charmed by the inhabitants once they’re no longer just characters to him. With his knowledge he could fundamentally alter everything that happens; but his goal is for things to turn out the way they’re supposed to. But change is inevitable. Change for both him and the girls. Things start light, but there are cracks that show the shadows cast. And secrets are not kept forever. Relevant crossover tags that there aren't options for/I have far too many: Slayers, Dragon Ball Z, Tenchi Muyo, Monster Musume, Dungeons and Dragons, Minecraft, Undertale, Dark Souls -- -- -- -- -- -- *** -- -- -- -- -- A father goes to great lengths to find his daughter’s heroes. And finds himself being drawn into the world. But even the brightest light casts a shadow. And things that could too easily be are seen. Things that demand action. Things that must be confronted. Things that must be destroyed. But not forgotten. So life can move on. But scars never really heal. They remind us of who we were. But with help from your friends you can confront even your past to find hope. However hope and caring can lead you down a dark path. But your friends will fight to see you again, and find their own reward in your smile. Fire will burn all that it touches, ever seeking more fuel for it’s own survival. But with care that fire can be tamed to bring out it’s brightest light. There are times where you can help your friends. And times where they must help themselves. Never forget that those closest to you may be afraid to seek your help, or are unable to ask, or may even demand that you stay away. But no matter what you stand beside them. Because your friends are family you invite into your life.
