Princess Celestia finds a baby Changeling Queen during her travels. She had intended to bring her back to Canterlot only temporarily, until she could find the hive the Queen belonged to. For now though, the Changeling Queen was just Twilight Sparkle
Changelings and ponies had always been natural enemies of each other, especially with the crystal ponies when they were around. Why wouldn't they be? Changelings were like parasites, feeding off the love that ponies gave off and driving them to illness.
However, Changelings had begun to decline. What started out with as seven hives have diminished down into three, all of which had gone into hiding so well that most ponies didn't know what changelings even were. Even Celestia had not seen one for quite a while, a long feat for an immortal pony.
Until she found a nymph. A new Changeling Queen.
Unable to find it within herself to abandon the changeling, Celestia ends up taking the nymph back to Canterlot under guise as Twilight Sparkle. The plan was simple; find the hive that Twilight belonged to and return her back to be raised with her race.
Of course, despite everything she learned through her long life, she had forgotten that things were never that simple.
For starters, she did not anticipate herself to grow fond of Twilight as time began to pass, or to beam in happiness when Twilight began to refer to her as mom.

You have lived in Equestria for some time now, around five or so years. You never meant to come here it just kinda happened. The first few months were a living hell for you, you were attacked because most thought you were a monster. This continued until you were captured by the Royal Guard and brought to meet Celestia and Luna. You explained your situation and over time you became friends, but that didn't stop the fact that you were ridiculed and attacked whenever you left the castle, and so in time you became content with staying within the confines of the castle. But one day guards showed up to your room and put you in chains...
How would a maintainer react to being thrown on an foreign world? Would he be able to adapt and survive or is he doomed to ultimately fail.
What happens when you throw a crew chief in an alien world where all his ideas of reality are turned upside down? Anything can happen as TSgt Eric Broussard tries to cope in his new surroundings as he looks for a way to go home. Yet the longer he stays in this new world and interacts with its inhabitants will he want to leave when the solution presents itself? NOTE: Being as I keep getting asked about the language I use for Equis in my story I figured I'd place it here. The language Equis is made up using a couple of caesar ciphers used on normal English to create an alien sounding language. The main one I use is an A=E cipher and occasionally use an A=H to either make words or supplement the letters from the first cipher to make words.

She seemed to have quite a fondness for controversial topics - speaking easily about sensitive things like eugenics, cultural superiority, aggressive police-state and national socialist paradigms. It was no surprise that she was often spat on by many of the other people at their university.
But that wasn’t uncommon these days on campus: it seemed like even looking at somebody the wrong way these days could earn you the dreaded moniker of being a fascist. So Aaron was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.

Plus she was damn cute! And maybe, just maybe, he had a chance of finally graduating from kissless virgin status: she definitely seemed to be taking a bigger and bigger interest in him as their relationship grew.
Little did he know that his new girlfriend is a lot more than meets the eye - she’s a being from another world, and has plans for upgrading Aaron’s body into something more suitable for her needs.
