Equestria was just a game, one of an endless number of semi-illicit online games created to take advantage of the ubiquity of cheap augmented reality hardware. But that changed, when for no reason anyone knows, the virtual population of Equestria woke up.
Two decades have gone by since then, and the world has been transformed. The former game network has grown to encompass the backbone of trade, infrastructure, and research the western world over. Its vast computational resources have given rise to an infinitely subdivided world of overlays and sublayers, coterminous with the various cities and towns within Equestria. Every person in the modern world is assigned a Synth, a pony personal assistant that adapts to their needs and helps them access those parts of the world governed by Equestria's systems.
It is a world Dakota barely remembers, thanks to an automobile accident that turned most of her body to mush. But thanks to the medical miracles created by joint equestrian-human research, her life is saved by a remarkably new series of implants.
But Dakota isn't content to sit around while her body slowly knits itself together. There are unanswered questions to answer, questions that will ultimately lead her to the oldest mystery of both worlds.
A U.S. fighter pilot on a routine recon mission is sucked into the world of Equestria. Although he may not know it, he was brought here for a purpose. The very fate of this world may rest in his hands.
Lieutenant Rodger T. Laurence, a pilot in the United States Navy, had just taken off from the USS Wasp on a routine recon mission. Mid-flight, Rodger experienced an event that he could never have imagined. Miraculously, the stunned pilot finds himself in foreign skies with no way of contacting home, and is greeted by an unexpected inhabitant of this strange new land.
Follow the journey of a young cynical man as his world is turned upside down. Without anywhere to turn, can he learn to set aside his preconceptions and learn to accept friendship for what it truly is?

My name is Seth Rogers. I'm a simple college student trying to get a degree so I can land a good job. However all of that goes out the metaphorical door when I encounter a strange man adorned in half-plate armor. Before I know it, I'm in an unknown land filled with ridiculous looking ponies colored every shade of the rainbow. Or all of them, in one case. ... I want them to stay as far away from me as physically possible.
This is a Human in Equestria story with shounen elements. The twist is this: the main character, a bitter and troubled young man who doesn't believe in kindness or friendship, experiences the very same lessons that we have in the process of watching this incredible show. Can the ponies we all know and love help Seth become a better person?
Another thing that I must point out is that the show does not exist in the human world. Stay tuned, as character development is the goal of the whole story.

However, when the Element of Magic is stolen by an old student of Celestia's and taken through a magic mirror while he is visiting the Crystal Empire with the Mane Six, he discovers that another world has been very close by during his whole reign. A rather familiar world at that. Deciding that he is the best pony for the job, he takes his two best soldiers through the portal with him to get the Element back. So, pretending to be a foreign exchange student from Canada, he infiltrates of all things... a high school.
For Toola Roola, being in a new school with new ponies was different in and of itself. But getting in trouble with this teacher was a whole new experience.

Thunderlane has always had a good relationship with his brother. If he has a problem, he knows that his lil' bro will talk to him about it. But, one day, the colt just storms off to his room. What could the problem be that Rumble can't talk to his big brother about it?

Seth Conway, in a bout of spontaneity that he hoped would give him that very direction he craved, took up the military’s offer to send volunteer recruits across The Portal to train and serve with their equine counterparts in a show of camaraderie. The promise of adventure and purpose greater than himself—directly benefiting the human and equine races—was hard to pass up.
The whole justification for this, in his mind, was “Why not? What’s the worst that could happen?”

Now my boss, my best friend, and my worst enemy are all tiny sentient horses. Yes, I really just said that.

On a hot and restless night, Sweet Pop and Bubblegum Star start texting each other past their bedtime. Just how far will things go with a camera and a simple request: 'show me your butt'?
Sweet Pop considers herself an average filly. She does well in school, somewhat dislikes the tedium of classes but likes making friends, and has a hobby or two that she’s really into. To her parents’ surprise, one of these hobbies is photography. That’s why she got a camera for her birthday just last month. She’s been practicing with it ever since, but she’s never had any real reason to use it.
At least, until she met Bubblegum Star. Being a filly who one day dreams of being up in lights, Star’s interested in photography as well. She also has a camera. These simple facts led to them breaking the ice quickly, and becoming fast friends. From friends, they became best friends...and then just a little more, but they’d never tell anypony besides each other. They Pinkie-promised on that, after all.
But as luck would have it, a mix of sleeplessness, texting, and awfully convenient biological timing means the two fillies are about to have an interesting night thanks to cyberspace.

There's a new pony in Ponyville but they just can't figure him out. He answers questions but that only crops up more questions.
A new pony has arrived in Ponyville on the day of Summer Sun Celebration. Who is he? He's nice but when the residents of the town learn more about him, even more unanswered questions seem to pop up. Can anypony figure out this mystery? Probably when they actually ask the right question. Are they going to? No Will he interfere with events? We'll see.
This is just an idea I had and wrote by hand (later edited onto a computer) in a matter of a few hours. I have no delusions that this is a perfect story. Just some fun I had when writing out ideas. For the most part it will focus on different ponies crossing paths with him as the series goes on and not directly follow him. This IS technically a Human in Equestria story but by no means is he ordinary, both in body and mind as you will notice in the first chapter. He WILL be unrealistic, so please no comments about him not reacting to the situation like a normal person. As for the back story of the character, I had originally included it but at second glance, I felt it would be better for both people inside and outside of the story to figure it out. Well here I am…in the land where friendship is supposedly magic as an alicorn no less, staying with the two pegasi sisters while trying to make sense of my situation and keeping my whole alicorn appearance a secret…especially from the OTHER two alicorn’s. God knows what happens when these ponies find out what I really am...Both now and what i used to be.
Hopefully, one day…all of this will make sense and let’s just hope I don’t cause too much chaos while trying to find answers and trying to find a way back home.
