There's a new pony in Ponyville but they just can't figure him out. He answers questions but that only crops up more questions.
A new pony has arrived in Ponyville on the day of Summer Sun Celebration. Who is he? He's nice but when the residents of the town learn more about him, even more unanswered questions seem to pop up. Can anypony figure out this mystery? Probably when they actually ask the right question. Are they going to? No Will he interfere with events? We'll see.
This is just an idea I had and wrote by hand (later edited onto a computer) in a matter of a few hours. I have no delusions that this is a perfect story. Just some fun I had when writing out ideas. For the most part it will focus on different ponies crossing paths with him as the series goes on and not directly follow him. This IS technically a Human in Equestria story but by no means is he ordinary, both in body and mind as you will notice in the first chapter. He WILL be unrealistic, so please no comments about him not reacting to the situation like a normal person. As for the back story of the character, I had originally included it but at second glance, I felt it would be better for both people inside and outside of the story to figure it out. The amazing artwork was done by Mix-up. You can check out his other artworks on his Deviant Art page.
A particularly stubborn human is lost in Equestria and is trying his damnedest to find a way out, while surviving the surprisingly difficult rigours of life in a land filled with cute talking animals. Hilarity ensues.
He was even less happy to find himself in an alien world that offended the very laws of physics and got injured for his own stubborn refusal to accept the obvious path fate had apparently laid out for him.
For his trouble he is now on a journey, with the long term goal of finding his way back home, only to find himself involved in plots and machinations so far above his head and cares that he quickly becomes a pawn in a game played by powers who care not for his well-being.
Quite like his life back on Earth if you think about it.
Needless to say, Handy does not care for any of it. He is much more preoccupied with the more immediate and pressing mundane concerns of day to day life a human needs to worry about while in Equestria.
Obtaining a new pair of shoes for example.
All this and one almighty hangover, what's the worst that could happen?
The living have lost, and the last survivor's luck can't keep him alive forever. He can escape if he survives long enough to finish one last project.
In a world ravaged by the living dead, one man has outlasted those with far more strength, speed, and experience. His only advantages are his uncanny luck and peculiar inspiration. This inspiration has never led him astray and even promises a fresh start. All he has to do is build a strange device that follows no earthly science.
While Earth’s story might be over, this cog-jockey’s has just begun.
A portal to Equestria opens on Arstotzka's border, and you now have to deal with pony immigrants along with the usual mix.
It had been nearly a year since you won that labor lottery. This job had quickly turned into the best thing that has ever happened to you and your family. From the Grestin checkpoint, you had seen it all; terrorist attacks, long-seperated lovers getting back together, people trying to smuggle drugs into the country... None of that compares to the day a portal opens to an alternate dimension just outside the walls. Which is bad, because inevitably that means more papers for you to check and double check. But still, a job's a job. Might as well keep a straight face about it... And remember: Glory to Arstotzka.
Pulled into a strange world, meeting fantasy creatures, and stuck in stone. Isn't life grand...
Pulled into a strange world where myth and legends are real. Unable to communicate to the native creatures here, or even able to move for that matter... How is a human supposed to adapt to this strange world, or even manage to keep his sanity when he is encased in stone.
Twilight still visits me twice a month. It’s okay, I guess.
A cartoon pony named Twilight Sparkle visits me every other Friday night. We talk more than we used to, but she still makes me watch that show of hers. Isn’t anything ever going to change?
Note: that Romance tag doesn't equate to mushy stuff, and it's not the reason for the Teen rating. This is much closer to Everyone than Mature. Cover art generously provided once again by statoose Big, heartfelt thanks to Skeeter The Lurker for helping me deal with reader reactions, and to Craine for proofreading the new final chapter.
At the reading of his mother's last will and testament, Joseph Taylor is left an ominous package, and given a single instruction, protect it at all costs. But just what was this strange item, and why must it be guarded?
At the reading of his mother's last will and testament, Joseph Taylor is left a strange package. His only instruction being to protect the contents inside. Said items turn out to be nothing more than an old, empty journal, and an odd looking pen. What could be so important about such simple objects? But, Joseph will soon be given a rude reminder of the old saying, "Looks, can be deceiving..."
You are a cartoonist who brings never-before-seen art, and she's an amazing cellist who makes music. Two fields dominated by unicorns, but you two are doing just fine.
You were a cartoonist on Earth, but since everyone in Equestria is a cartoon your pictures are pretty life-like. Opening up an art gallery in Canterlot, you take the train and meet a mare who is just like you. She's a musician who plays an instrument only reserved for unicorns.
It seems that both of you don't require any magic.
No obscure fetishes, slight domination. Human on mare sex.

While randomly scouring the airwaves with her two-way radio, Vinyl stumbles upon a desperate voice with a wild story. Can words save a life? Can they give hope, and is that hope even worth it?
One lonely night, Vinyl decides to use her old two-way radio to relieve the tedium. In doing so, she stumbles upon the voice of 'Adi,' who has a story so crazy Vinyl isn't willing to believe it.
But Adi is desperate, so desperate that Vinyl knows something really is wrong. Can her words help Adi overcome whatever is really happening? Even if she can instill hope in this stranger, is hope worth anything against seemingly insurmountable odds?
All Vinyl can do is sit before her radio and talk. Perhaps it will be enough.
A human was transported to Equestria and transformed into a pony. Unfortunately, he needs to get back home, and Equestria doesn't look the same as in the show.
A human suddenly found himself as an Earth Pony in the fictional land of Equestria. Unfortunately, Equestria didn't look the same as in the show. Regardless, it was still a little girl's show, so returning home shouldn't be a problem. Now if only he knew where the cliché ponies were located in this version of Equestria. You know, the ones who could help him get back home?
Special thanks to mix-up for drawing the cover art. :3 You can check his deviantart page as well for more of his art works~
Gulliver's visit to the Land of the Houyhnhms should have been his last trip. Fate said otherwise..
Dr. Lemuel Gulliver's trip to the land of the Houyhnhms should have be his last voyage anywhere further than the nearest pub. Fate had other plans, and now he is in a race against time to find a cure for the strange malady he picked up in his last voyage.
"...My family had insisted my first, and now it would seem only, visit to that land of fair and graceful people who lived in eternal harmony was to be my last trip ever away from home.
"So I had once sworn to my wife, Elanore, my son, Alexander, and my daughter, Elisabeth. Never more would I roam, nor seek out the perfect people, perfect despite the fact they walk on four hooves... The land of the Houyhnhms."
"Fate had other plans for my vow, yet still held me to it in a strange way none could anticipate...."
The Third rises. Also, Lyra becomes a cult leader.
Not so long ago, Equestria barely defeated two almost unstoppable creatures known as humans, which they called the Second and the First. Almost five years later, another one has shown up. The military takes up arms, the princesses are stricken with fear, and the Elements of Harmony assemble, ready for battle. But 'the Third' has no idea what's going on, and only wants to know how he came to be here, and how to get back home. Good questions indeed...But will he ever get his answers? Or will his predecessors' legacy catch up to him first?
“Side story/prequel to Human by DannyJ, but can be read on its own. Contains spoilers.”
Across the universe, two minds meet. One on Equestria, and one on Earth.
Worlds apart, Princess Celestia's dream comes into contact with a human on Earth. To her, he's a handsome stallion with a funny accent. To him, she's a gorgeous woman ruling an odd kingdom. As they go to sleep each night, they dream of each other and a bond develops that neither one expected, only to be tested as things begin to change on Earth.
After agreeing to help Oak with his latest invention, Red gets sucked into Equestria and now he has to work out how to return home. And being mute isn't going to help.
Instead of getting Spike a birthday present, Twilight finds herself trapped in a closed universe. A fictional universe, she believes, where nothing is real. Mike has a different opinion about that.
(A PoE story.) Additional Tags: (Slice Of Life) All Twilight wanted was to give Spike a special gift for his birthday. Yes, it was a book, but it was a very special book. An Enchanted Book like that Power Ponies comic they had recently experienced. Things went wrong when Spike startled Twilight as she was working the spell for his (secret) gift. Needless to say, startling Twilight while she's in the middle of a spell can be a bad idea - as certain frogs can tell you. Twilight has every reason to believe that she is now trapped in a closed reality bubble fabricated out of her own magic, with no way out. She's lost in some made-up universe reflecting some random story line. Mike, of course, has a different opinion about the matter.
WARNING: Both Twilight and Mike love talking technical and explaining things to each other. CHAPTERS HAVE NOW BEEN RE-ORGANIZED This most excellent cover art was provided by Void Heart Twilight's World now has an audio reading. Read by No One and Nobody.
The exploration of the Gryphon Kingdom and the love between a human and a griffin. While securing trade routes, Gilda reminisces how the humans arrive, the trials they face together, and the one who stole her heart. Set in the Gentlemanverse.
When Equestria accidentally opened a portal to another world, they discovered a new species: humans. Their arrival changed the world. For the Equestrian Ponies, it heralded a great cultural and technological jump needed from their stagnating way of life. For the Gryphons, however, they represented something baser: an opportunity to increase food stock and finally have a 'friendlier' predator species to ally themselves with.
For Gilda, one of the the humans was Ancestor-sent, a soul she would protect for bringing much joy to her life. And when a chain of events force her to accompany her human to Equestria, she recalls the circumstances of their meeting, the trials they pass through, the friendship forged through fire, and love born out of understanding under the harsh skies of the Kingdom.
Desperate for a good night’s sleep, Rose tries to soothe her soul with a little late-night gardening, only to find that her unusual houseguest is also having trouble sleeping. That, and he’s holding a noose.
Roseluck's been having a lot of trouble sleeping lately. Everytime she's about to fall asleep, an overwhelming sense of loneliness swoops in and snatches it away.
The fact that she's looking after a creature from the stars doesn't help.
With nothing better to do, Rose heads out to her greenhouse for a little late-night gardening, hoping that a little time with her beloved flowers will help her fall asleep. As she works in the greenhouse, she sees her unusual houseguest is also having trouble sleeping. That, and he's holding a noose...
Special thanks to TheMarvelousMrM for proofreading and editing. I couldn't have done it without him!
Another special thanks to the Finnish indie band Poets of the Fall for the two songs that inspired this fic. Look 'em up, why don't 'ya?
