Lightning Dust makes a bet with her lonely human friend that she can find him a mare who’s willing to date him.
Max Taranis has set out to find a new life for himself outside of Ponyville, but that task has proven to be more difficult than he originally thought. He drifts from town to town, looking for work and a place to call home with no luck whatsoever. That all changes once he meets a fiery pegasus mare named Lightning Dust, who helps him find work in an odd little town far north of Ponyville. They quickly become the best of friends and things seem to be looking up for Max...
...except for the loneliness.
Now that Max has a tolerable home and a stable job, he seeks a romantic partner in this equine-ruled world, but nopony seems to be interested. That is, until Lightning Dust makes him a bet that she can find him a mare who’s more than willing to give him a chance.

Upon her return and when confronted by the new Bearers of the Elements of Harmony, Nightmare Moon decides to summon the foulest creature to ever exist (at least she thinks so).

She barely has time to cast a few spells and terrorize the local village and kidnap the Solar Princess that a group of mares burst into the ancient throne room.
As they manage to reactivate and wield the Elements of Harmony, Nightmare Moon tries to summon the foulest beast she can think of to protect her.

A human, having suffered due to the mysterious means of his transmission from one world to another, is stuck in bed recovering from his injures. While a little alarmed to find that the one looking after him is not human herself, he can't do much about it.
It helps that - as he finds - she's also rather good company.
An exploration ship from a far off, far future humanity crashes bow first directly into the planet of Equus, leading to the eight individuals on board changing the course of history
Sometimes, things don't go exactly as one plans. Sometimes one spills their coffee, sometimes they might be late to a meeting, sometimes an entire eight-person exploration ship rams a planet that they didn't notice at significant speeds.
This is one of those times, with the UGS Possibility smashing into the planet of Equus, bringing a veritable cache of impossible wonders... if only its keepers can be convinced to share it. Needless to say, every sizeable power that hears of it wants a piece of the pie, some with far less scrupulous methods than others.

If she could reform Discord, why not the Tyrant of the Crystal Empire. After all, with his spell keeping her from betraying his presence, it might be her only hope. Can she kill the Dark King with Kindness? Or will the ancient sorcerer once more stretch his shadow across Equestria?

Holy shit, there's 54 authors in this. @_@ As the season 8 chapter was just uploaded, I feel the time has come to throw the spotlight on it, incomplete or no. What will you find in here? Hilarity. Not every installment is equally good, but this is a celebration of everything that makes Starlight Glimmer the overpowered psychopath we all know and love. The problem with fix-fics tends to be a lack of drama or conflict, but when your starting premise is "we're going to short-circuit all the drama, and it's gonna be funny", the field is ripe for shenanigans. There's lots of pizza, lots of shipping (and the thing I did in S8 where Starlight's getting old, which I don't think actually works, but whatever); this is a real good time and you could do far worse than pull up a few of its episodes now and then for some laughs. You never can know what someone will come up with to short-circuit an episode, after all! Trust me, I wrote the non-canon sequel. :V Recommended
