Lyra discovers a cell phone that has ended up in Equestria. To her surprise, it can send messages to humans!
Lyra Heartstrings has always known that humans exist, even if none of the other ponies in her life have ever appreciated that fact. But aside from a few enigmatic ancient prophecies and a popular fantasy series, there haven't ever really been any authoritative sources on what humans were really like. Years of discouragement begin to take their toll on Lyra's faith in the strange and wondrous beings with their strange limbs and ways of sitting.
Until one day, when Lyra finds a strange device on the ground outside Ponyville, and it starts talking to her with short messages printed on its tiny screen. So instead of search for the device's proper owner, Lyra takes it home, hoping for the chance to talk to a real human.
Takes place ostensibly in the universe of My Little Apprentice, though very little connection with that story is expected. Familiarity with that story and its sequel are neither expected nor required.

Walking with the paws of an ancient predator, a young man finds himself in a strange world. A world where horses are the dominant species, and he’s a very rare and dangerous animal. How will a speechless man turned wolf deal with society? How will he approach ponies? Would he even want to bother speaking to them?
(Love interest is not revealed in any of the current chapters. So don't freak out when you don't see it. I'm also focusing on a very realistic sense of love. This will be a later part of the story when romance becomes truly relevant. This story was written for the Transformations group story contest. It was originally published under the name "Consequences," though this story has been heavily revised since then.

A griffon is a creature that has the head of a bird, the hindquarters of a feline, and many of the character traits of both mixed in. Some of those traits show more obviously than others, especially one side more than the other.
And guess who, as Gallus's roommate, has to put up with them?
Chrysalis, after having spent the night at Stellar Flare's house, attempts to gain a better understanding of her host.
Queen Chrysalis, after having collapsed outside of Sire's Hollow, is recuperating under the care of Stellar Flare. Consigning herself to play nice, lest the townsfolk become suspicious. She begins to gain a better understanding of the village and its denizens, in particular the middle aged unicorn who was gracious enough to help her. The Changeling finds the mare curious, to say the least, and attempts to gain her trust. After all, the pony would make a valuable ally.

A dispute between Celestia and Luna leads to Celestia accidentally making contact with humans.
After an argument with Luna, Celestia realizes that she is the only creature in Equestria who cannot sleep in. She enlists Twilight to help, and the two of them come up with a spell that will allow her to spend the night on a different world. Unfortunately, all their research failed to reveal that the world they sought was populated. Now, the Princess must decide whether to continue with contact, or destroy the only non-Equestrian witness to their existence.
