After the Friendship Games, Sunset Shimmer decided it's time to return home. It's just that she comes back a bit earlier than expected.
After the Friendship Games, Sunset feels it's time to return home.
Only when she gets there, Twilight's castle is nowhere to be found, Cadance just got her horn, and Princess Celestia is still calling the bacon-haired pony her prized student rather than a failed one. And just reliving her past isn't on the table thanks to a pair of wings Sunset seems to have sprouted upon her return to Equestria.
With Sunset being back before she's supposed to, will the world stay as harmonious and on track, or will everything go down in flames as Sunset has to deal with allegations that she's really a changeling in disguise, a nerdy stallion with blue hair that wants to be her coltfriend, a pretty pink princess in need of remedial magic lessons, and an annoying purple pre-teen pony that will absolutely not go to bed without first being read Starswirl's Complete Mystical Mysteries Compendium?
Sunset Shimmer, practitioner of friendship, twice savior of Canterlot High, alicorn. She's offered to help Twilight's new student as the whole group travels to the Crystal Empire for a Crystalling. Should be a relaxing, stress free trip. Right?
Sunset Shimmer, twice savior of Canterlot High who earned her wings by using the combined magic of the Earth elements of harmony to save the world from Twilight Sparkle (you know... the one with the glasses). She's offered to help Twilight's (you know.. the alicorn Princess of Friendship) new student learn about friendship while the whole crew embarks on a trip to the Crystal Empire. This should be a fairly relaxing and stress free trip. Right? RIGHT?!
It should go without saying, but MAJOR spoilers to the season 6 premier.
Keeping a newborn's uncontrolled magic from wrecking the house during a foalsitting evening requires an experienced professional! -- or a teenager who hasn't figured out what the job actually requires. (The teenager is initially cheaper.)
Surges. Just about every newborn foal goes through them: episodes where their magic is randomly finding its way into the world, effects appearing with no understanding or control. Sires and dams whose foal matches their own race can usually counter enough to keep the nursery in one piece. But if you're, just for example, the proud (and rather desperate) unicorn first-time parents of a pegasus foal and you really need a night out of the house -- preferably one where the house is still intact when you get back -- you call on the Surge Protectors! for assistance.
It's assumed that if you were second-time parents, you would have done something intelligent.
Welcome to Simoon Duster's first night on the job. It's probably going to be her last.

TD from TD the Alicorn Princess pretends to be a Canadian exchange student and infiltrates Canterlot High
It has been two years since the human TD ascended to become Princess Antares, and he is settling into his role as one of the rulers of Equestria quite nicely. His loyal guard is strong, his palace is awe-inspiring, and he is beloved and worshiped by ponies everywhere. However, when the Element of Magic is stolen by an old student of Celestia's and taken through a magic mirror while he is visiting the Crystal Empire with the Mane Six, he discovers that another world has been very close by during his whole reign. A rather familiar world at that. Deciding that he is the best pony for the job, he takes his two best soldiers through the portal with him to get the Element back. So, pretending to be a foreign exchange student from Canada, he infiltrates of all things... a high school.

The Pie family is Amish, right? They don't belong to a religion called Televisionarialism that preaches that Equestria is a world artificially created for a TV show... Right?
The Pie family is very serious about their religion. Their religion believes that Equestria was created by writers and animators from another world in order to keep their otherworldly species entertained. Pinkie and her friends have the most legendary friendship in Equestria, but will it still stand after Twilight, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Rarity find out that Pinkie doesn't even believe that their world is real?
Make sure to check out this song by AC-527 partially inspired by this story. Thank you AC-527!
In a last ditch effort to find a foal sitter, Pinkie Pie approaches Equestria's resident human.
Anon didn't expect to find himself as a foal sitter - then again, he had never expected to find himself in a land of magical, talking horses. With no other options and winding down the clock, Pinkie Pie asked him for a huge favor and, well, who was he to turn her down. Looking after an adorable, cotton-candy maned tiny pony couldn't be too hard, could it?
Kinks Include: Foalcon, Male on Male, Interspecies, Potentially Intentional Acts of Seduction, Lewd Pony Apparel, Oral, Anal, Very Inappropriate Wordplay, Size Difference, and a Somewhat Unorthodox Eclair

Alright, this sounds utterly stupid, I know, but... I've made a deal with Discord. WAIT! DON'T LEAVE YET! I... I didn't want to... much. Alright, I was just too scared to tell him "no"! He wants to play a game... help?

The rules?
Oh, from now on, every time I fall asleep in the human world, I get transported to Equestria, into a new body. I can stay as long as I don't give up, even until I die apparently! If I do, I get sent back to our world. Discord, being so bored in his statue, will influence my fate while I'm in Equestria. The game will only last ten rounds, at most.
Seth Conway joins the military after a call for volunteers to train with their pony allies. Seeking direction, this could just give him what he seeks. Meeting a gorgeous, reticent mare named Schneeblume is the best part of his new adventure.
Seth Conway, in a bout of spontaneity that he hoped would give him that very direction he craved, took up the military’s offer to send volunteer recruits across The Portal to train and serve with their equine counterparts in a show of camaraderie. The promise of adventure and purpose greater than himself—directly benefiting the human and equine races—was hard to pass up.
The whole justification for this, in his mind, was “Why not? What’s the worst that could happen?”
But maybe in meeting a beautiful, shy, lavender-eyed mare named Schneeblume with her own… decorated past will have him asking the question: “What’s the best that could happen?" And In the end, perhaps both of them may find something they've been looking for.
*Five-or-six-chapter romance clopfic. Sexual relations between human and pone imminent.* *THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REQUIRED READING OF ANY OTHER STORIES TO UNDERSTAND THIS. But I definitely won't stop you from reading The Flower Mare trilogy if you want.* *For those who have readThe Flower Mare trilogy, canon is exactly the same through the second story. Ignore the third for purposes of this divergent universe. It should be pretty obvious why.* *Cover art by G_Hyze, sourced to his DA.*
A supervillain's henchman must take care of his boss-turned-foal.
Supervillains are always hunting for mystical ancient artifacts. I can back that up--I worked for one.
Emphasis on "worked." We were probing yet another long-abandoned underground city when my employer finally found the fabled Sphere of Meganacus...only to find it wasn't exactly friendly to humans. Now my boss, my best friend, and my worst enemy are all tiny sentient horses. Yes, I really just said that.
Did I mention they're a lot younger, now, too? God, I need a drink. I hate babysitting operations.

A changeling gets kicked out of the hive for being a pony.
Like ponies, changelings can get pretty paranoid at times. After all, it's not every day that a changeling gets kicked out of the hive for being a pony.
