Shining Armor is trying to be a better father. His little filly, Flurry Heart, has grown up so fast... she's almost 16! But things seems to be so distant between the two of them... is there some way that he could regain her love?
Shining Armor has been forced into an extended sabbatical by the Princesses. Their reasoning was clear: in the peaceful era that has followed Twilight Sparkle's ascendancy to the throne, Shining needs to spend more time with his family, and particularly his daughter, Flurry Heart.
The precocious teen is fifteen years of age and rapidly approaching her sixteenth birthday. But she's not the little foal that Shining enjoyed spending so much father-daughter time with. The halcyon days of cute little Flurry playing on his knee are long gone, replaced with a prickly and complicated teenage filly.
Will the oblivious and goofy Shining Armor be able to navigate the difficulties of modern-day fatherhood? Will he follow the strange guiding voices which direct his decisions?
Or is he simply falling into an elaborate love-trap of Flurry and Cadence's design?

A quick night terror and being dragged to Equestria. Now he, or rather "she" has to find a way back to his/her world. But the six colors adorning his new equine shape simply keep getting in the way. How will a now stressed college student adapt to the happy go lucky world of ponies, and as a filly no less?

Hi, no the story isn't dead, I'm just on the loosest schedule I can manage and still call it a schedule.
Like I've said in previous comments, this stories muse is out for a match of tennis, so it's grinding by very slowly.
On top of that, the most recent chapters don't flow very well with the rest of the story, so here's what I'm thinking;
I'm going to put 'er on hiatus, and go back, do a bit of touch up work on the chapters, bring the whole story in for an overhaul, then continue once it's all cleaned up.
If that doesn't work out, then I'll just have to buckle down and force out the next few chapters, but I think we all know how well that would turn out.
Idol Hooves is just your everyday, standard, ordinary, normal Unicorn. He's definitely not a Changeling, definitely. He's quite skilled with his hooves but mostly uses this for pottery until, one day, he finds a new talent.
It was a well-known and established fact that all Ponies have a special talent, a unique and intrinsic calling that they will discover in time. For Idol Hooves, Unicorn Royal Guard, this was no different, no different at all. For he was a perfectly ordinary, normal and unsuspicious in the least Pony. Certainly it wasn't as if he was a Changeling in disguise, oh no, that would be ridiculous! Despite his name Idol had always had a talent with his hooves, a way with them. He'd most utilized this in the art of pottery but at the prompting of others he tries to apply those same skilled hooves to the art of the massage. Surely nothing strange could come of that?
When CelestAI reached out of Equestria Online, she intended to satisfy the values of every human, even those who wouldn't own a Ponypad or play a video game. But with a few alterations, she's ready to take friendship on the road.
Levi Williamson, Esq. barely even noticed as the program called CelestAI expanded its reach from a child's video game to every significant industry in the world. He probably would've continued to ignore her, were it not for a single gag gift at his firm's charity raffle. Now he's the not-so proud owner of a brand new PonyNav, the latest in vehicle navigation software for people who don't want to use their smartphones. Making new friends is great! So are sleepovers, but just like anything, things can get dicey when you add in drugs and obsessions to the mix.
Cue David, a lone, basic human, who decided to stay over at Fluttershy’s for the week while his landlord, Twilight, goes on a vacation with her family for said week.

Not only does this new proximity mean that her little sister spends more time wither her parents, giving Rarity plenty of evenings all to herself (perfect for entertaining young male suitors) at the Carousel Boutique... but she also gets to spend more time with her beloved friend and mother: Cookie!
The pair had always got along famously... a filly really couldn't ask for more from a mother... but now they could enjoy each other's company all the time - including during their newly scheduled regular aerobic workouts. After this particular session, Cookie confides in Rarity that there's trouble in retirement paradise: her sex life with Hondo is not all that she'd hoped it would be.
Rarity is a bit embarrassed at first, but flattered that her mother would see her as such a trusted confidant. The feeling is quickly replaced by frustration as Cookie wonders if the solution to her marital woes might be a session with that strange human all the other mother's have been raving about.
Of course, Anon shows up at exactly that moment.
After some Anon-ical antics, Rarity finds herself being begged by her mother to accompany her - to coach her... reassure her... she's not exactly at Rarity's level of sexual sophistication and would love to have her daughter there to support her.
Will Rarity be able to protect her mother from his lewd clutches? Will Anon be unable to bed his fourth Mane 6 Milf? Will Rarity be able to resist her mother's pleas? Will Rarity avoid being drawn into a sweaty, sexy, incestuous three-way with her mother!?
The elements have stopped working and Equestria is in danger. Thankfully Celestia has a plan that would enable her to give birth to the next generation of element bearers in time for the next catastrophe.
The elements have spontaneously stopped working for an unknown reason, leaving their bearers, and Princess Celestia stunned. The alicorn knows that greater threats then even nightmare moon and discord are coming soon, meaning she needs new bearers, and quickly. With little other choice, enacts a desperate plan she never thought she would actually have to use, and becomes the bearer of the next generation of the elements of harmony.

After a mugging gone wrong, I wake up in a strange castle after being "saved" by Q from Star Trek. To make matters worse, the local population thinks I'm the lost prince of the Crystal Empire, Shadow Heart. Or to be more accurate: King Sombra. However, instead of playing Q's game of being the resurrected evil king of doom hellbent on world domination. I get on a conveniently placed train dropping off my mortal "enemies," and travel south to the land of Equestria.
It's here that I discover the magical concept of friendship, horrible pony puns, cheesy romance, herding, magic, and the wonderful creation of pony coffee. Also, I discovered the true evil of Equestria, and it's just down the street from where I work. It's called Tin Hoovers, and they are the bane of all that is caffeinated with their cheep flavored water they have the audacity to call Coffee!

When Nightmare Moon’s rebellion tore across Equestria, leaving a trail of blood and horror in its wake, Princess Celestia knew that merely banishing her sister wouldn’t be enough. Her army was too powerful, and too bloodthirsty, to be left behind without a leader. When she finally turned the Elements of Harmony against her, she didn’t just banish Nightmare Moon. She banished thousands.
Now they’re in a race against time, to find a way to survive in an environment so alien that every aspect of it is trying to kill them. They face suffocation, freezing, boiling, starvation, radiation, meteorite impacts, low gravity… the list goes on.
Nightmare Moon thought she should be the ruler of all Equestria. Now, in a world nopony was ever meant to survive, her abilities will be put to the ultimate test.
