A prequel to Gentlemen for Mares. Before the Gentlemen existed, there were the two who sparked it all off: The musician and the mare.
*Posted with Demon Eyes Laharl's permission, of course. I would strongly recommend giving his work, Gentlemen for Mares a look first before giving this a glance, it really is a fantastic read.* Set near the start of Human-Pony relations, a human musician is one of a test group sent out among the ponies as part of an exchange program to learn more about their society. This is the tale of his encounter with a certain mare whose fascination with humans will lead to an experience he'd never have dreamed himself getting into. And he once got married for a muffin.
Damon Flame was just trying to escape his past when he ended up in Equestria. Things were finally looking up for him but life decided to take away everything he had worked so hard for and make it all for naught.
Equestria, a land with a mysterious past surrounded by powerful forces. Enter Damon Flame, a 19 year old living on his own trying to get by in life after escaping his home five years ago. He was just starting to regain some semblance of control over his life and was beginning to accept some of the scars his past left on his mind. Things are finally looking up but his healing is interrupted by life kicking him in the teeth, stealing a couple organs, and dragging him to some freaky place. At least it had the courtesy to leave him in the ICU.
*Authors note* Tell me what you like and hate about this. I'm completely open to constructive criticism. Rewrites of the chapters are currently in progress. Also thanks to Total Eclipse for letting me bounce ideas off of him.
A cowboy finds himself in the company of a unicorn. A very whiny, needy unicorn with a compulsive need to be fabulous and an unexpected knack for gunslinging.
Being a cowboy is usually very straightforward. Frank, however, finds himself in over his head when he meets a unicorn - a very whiny, needy unicorn with a compulsive need to be fabulous and an unexpected knack for gunslinging.
In a world where nothing comes easy and everything is incredibly dirty, a man and a pony are going to have to rely on each other to make it through.
The arrival of a strange creature sends ripples through the lives of several inhabitants within Equestria.
A changeling who finds responsibility thrust upon her after the failed Canterlot invasion.
A unicorn who finds herself part of first contact with a strange new creature.
A princess who finds hints of one she long since lost in another's mind.
With the arrival of a strange bipedal creature into Equestria, all three will find themselves intertwined with the fate of the girl. When language cannot be understood how will communication with the new arrival be achieved, and what secrets may the creature be bringing with her? What does the girl possess that may alter how the changeling in particular sees the world.
What could the girl possibly have that would allow one word – hope – to resonate so strongly, not only for herself but also the changeling.
This is a retelling of A Voice Among the Strangers from three viewpoints in particular. You don't have to read AVAtS to read this one, as I will be attempting to make each a full story on their own.
Also, this seems to share a Tv Tropes page with A Voice Among the Strangers!
Have you ever woken up as a vegan cartoon pony? I have, and she won’t shut up about it. I’m stuck in her body as our minds swap control and our memories blur. I’m not sure I can survive the rest of the day, let alone until we fix it
Have you ever woken up as a vegetarian cartoon pony? I have, and she won’t shut up about it. I’m stuck in her body as our minds swap control and our memories blur. I can’t seem to do anything right, and it’s even worse when she’s in charge.
Now, we’re in a back and forth war for control of her body. I just want to eat meat again, and have a little personal space. She’s convinced I’m hitting on her friends and trying to score. I’m not sure I can survive the rest of the day, let alone until we fix this.
Commander Shepard crash lands The Normandy on a strange planet filled with weird, talking horses. Of course, he's renegade as shrek, so he could care less.
Disclaimer: If you don't like bad jokes you're gonna hate this.
Commander Bob Shepard is your average zombie space marine, he likes long walks on the beach, crushing the enemy, and destroying things for no reason, but what happens when he goes too far?
It'll be obvious by the end of paragraph two, but I was high when I played Mass Effect.

Based on the blogs, youtube videos and all else relating to these wonderful characters. The continuing adventures of Dan, Chrys, Twilight and all their friends in Equestria updated weekly on Saturdays. Directed by Michael Hay. Current Episode: Episode 22: The Kingdom is Broke! Dan Vs. The National Debt: When Equestria winds up flat broke, Dan takes charge to solve the kingdom's financial troubles. He assures his friends he's only going to use the most honest of practices and the most ethical of economic plans to help the nation recover. Naturally, no one believes him.

A human soul is stuffed into King Sombra's body. Having no idea what's going on, and thinking he is in some kind of coma, he just casually strolls into the Crystal Empire.
King Sombra’s dark influence was obliterated by the Crystal Heart, and the villain is well and truly dead. But when he attempts to steal the afterlife of an innocent victim, a human spirit is left hurtling towards Equestria, where this unfortunate soul is revived into the only vessel available: the reconstituted body of King Sombra himself.
Thus, a cheerfully oblivious alien is crammed into the form of the most evil and malicious being Equestria has ever known. Not that Shining Armor and Cadence know this, of course. As far as they are concerned, the King is back and he’s lost his fricking mind.
A man finds himself in a colorful world of magic... unable to talk to its residents, thought to be a monster, hunted and desperately seeking a way to return home.
Peter Collins. Full-time copy clerk; part-time competitive shooter and sketch artist. Not the most glorious life, but for an independent 26-year-old looking to make his way up the corporate ladder, it's not a bad start.
But the thing about one-in-a-million chances is that somebody has to be that one. And Pete has just found himself the winner of a bizarre cosmic lottery, giving him a free one-way trip into a land of magic and wonder: Equestria.
Unfortunately, the locals are skittish, distrustful of anything not their own, and outright terrified of whatever might be threatening to them. And with no way to speak to or understand them, what might have been a trip through paradise becomes a journey through a living hell, where the simplest of misunderstandings can bring the most dire of consequences. Alone, confused and desperate, Peter wages a one-man battle to escape a land seemingly out to get him, searching for a way back home, while the forces that protect this magical nation- ignorant of his goals and terrified that he may be a threat- do all they can to capture him.
How far can fear push us apart, what can it push us to do, when communication is impossible?

Partial rewrite finished. See this blog post for details.

A human and his pet horse are transported to Equestria.
It is a fact that horses have served mankind for thousands of years, in times of war and in times of peace. Your horse – a chestnut mare named Zayna – helps you to earn your primary source of income, in the form of a riding school.
But then, a freak occurrence dumps you both in a strange new land populated by talking ponies. At first, they are a bit hostile due to a misunderstanding — but that's nothing when you realise it's not just ponies who can talk here.
Artyom's sacrifice at D6 wasn't the last chapter of his story. A Metro/FiM crossover.
Moulded by the harsh environment of a post-apocalyptic Moscow, Artyom was always the man to do what it took to get the job done; anything to protect the Metro and all of those that would rebuild humanity. He destroyed the Dark Ones to protect mankind and the final stand at D6 was no different. Faced between letting the Communists control the entire Metro and destroying the easiest method of sustaining thousands of people, Artyom took the route of sacrifice by killing himself and destroying D6.
So was the end of his journey ... in Moscow. Lost in a new world, Artyom is faced with surviving in a foreign environment. How can a man born in war and violence survive in a land where such are nearly alien concepts? One thing is certain, he must survive for he won't get another chance.
A Metro/FiM crossover following the ending of Metro: Last Light. If you haven't played the game than you will be in for some spoilers.
*Note* There is Russian used in the words, they will be roughly translated at the end of each chapter. The Russian is used as flare, all important things will be in English. If the Russian is used in an important part, it will be reiterated in English.

Scootaloo overhears Twilight talking about a time travel machine. She breaks into the library and travels back in time to meet her hero, Rainbow Dash, as a filly. It would have been the perfect plan if Dash had been anything like she expected.

Will he be able to resist the charms of Silver Spoon?
