Things can get complicated quickly. For Anon, this is just something he deals with on a day to day. Ever since he started to work for Bonbon their working relationship is strained, to put it lightly. With one push, Anon will start questioning if what he's doing is the right thing and perhaps he was indeed the bad guy the entire time.

This story was written based on a simple idea from the HiE group forums. I haven't followed the idea exactly, but there's still a spoiler warning for those who want to check it out.
A human with greek heritage is "lucky" enough to get a wish granted by no other than the Gods of the Olympus. His wish is granted, but the gods put their own little twist on it.
On a fateful night, Alex wins the divine lottery and is approached by Hermes, an Olympian god. He is promised one wish, whatever it may be.
Alas, the encounter doesn't quite work out like he hoped it would.
Alex finds himself thrown into a world that is wholly unfamiliar to him. Gone are his dreams of meeting the mane six. He doesn't even have the luxury of keeping his human form.
Having to deal with an unfamiliar surrounding and a new body, this story follows him on his way to find his own place in this alien world.
Character tags will be added as they become relevant. Teen rating is mostly for some bloody scenes. (nothing too gory). Also, the prologue plays far off in the future of this story and we won't be returning to that point in quite some time.

On May 23, 2015, the world ended. It wasn't violent, it wasn't bloody, and it wasn't even very dramatic. The entire population of the planet vanished. But they didn't stay gone; almost at once refugees started trickling back. Unfortunately for them, they didn't come back with their humanity intact.
Instead of a single species, the earth is now populated with Ponies, griffons, dragons, minotaurs, and even stranger creatures. What will the remnants of humanity make with their world? Will they remember human achievements, or slip back into primitive ignorance? Learn from our mistakes, or repeat them over and over?
People haven't really changed, only their bodies have. The world now comes with new threats, supernatural as well as mundane. Demons lurk beneath the sea, while strange spirits whisper promises in dreams. Empires rise, dictators control, and ponies have nowhere to turn for help. Nowhere except themselves, and old-fashioned hard work.
This story is effectively an anthology of episodes, each of which will focus on a different time period and different perspective characters.

She correctly assumes that the beings from whom she stole it from are not pleased. However, she never could have foreseen the incredible lengths they undergo to retain their dignity.
Eric accepts an offer of off-campus residence at the Pie’s rock farm in exchange for physical labor and other help around the house. A certain soft-spoken, incredibly shy yet cute mare named Marble makes everything that much better.
Eric Griffith is to attend the Canterlot School of Natural Sciences courtesy of a student exchange program set up between Earth and Equestria. He accepts an offer by Pinkie Pie to set him up with her family so he wouldn’t have to live in the dorms, in exchange for him helping out around the rock farm and the house in general. Things go about as well as he expects; perhaps a bit better… but the most interesting aspect is his relationship with a certain cripplingly shy yet cute mare, who always hides a violet eye behind her perfectly straight, flowing mane.

Every Taraskan soldier has the same secret dream: to die and never wake up to the hell that is war. Raiden’s country is not an elite fighting force. As broken as they are, they limp along and salvage what they can. Their best advancements are what they learn from the few allies they can get. As the world around them is engulfed by a darkness known as the Og Nag, Taraska is one of the last cities and therefore must do the unthinkable: be bait. Raiden is the King’s right hand in the worst way possible; having his intellect and natural fighting skill be used to destroy both their enemies and himself. When it seems Raiden’s wish has finally come true, they wake up to a new kind of hell: watching the same destruction all over again in a country that has never even imagined the agony Taraska was born into. With a new chance at destruction, comes a new chance for change however. There is a time to fight and a time to talk. Will Raiden finally get his people to break free from King Hurrand’s plagueful greed, or will they be just another story told to children? The Og Nag here are also acting strange, as if being directed by an unseen force. There is one last battle Raiden must fight in: breaking away from the endless cycle of abuse. A battle that cannot be fought with a weapon against a creature that never gets tired. It is the one fight Raiden must win before he can save anyone, even himself.

Author's note: "King of the Dead has been a large pot for me to pour stuff into. I wanted readers to empathize with mental health. I wanted them to understand the paranoia and emotional fatigue that I do with my PTSD. I wanted readers to see a character with weaknesses and flaws, who gets tired, who gets emotional, who gets irrational and watch him pay for those flaws. I wanted a female character who doesn't hide her femininity but doesn't upplay it either. I wanted characters who solve a lot of their problems with their minds and strategy, not brute force. I wanted romance that was complicated and tiring. I wanted the woman in Raiden's life to understand why he's so broken, but not tolerate his toxic behavior. I wanted an antagonist who was overwhelmingly powerful, intelligent and extremely manipulative.
