A Private Military Contractor unknowingly agrees to a job offer that takes him to Equestria
My name is James Clark, and I am a Private Military Contractor. No, not Mercenary. Yes, there is a difference, but that's beside the point.
Ok, where was I? Ah yes, I was just entering my office in Downtown Houston one afternoon to hear a job offer. When I got there, I found a beautiful, robe-wearing woman waiting for me. Now, in this day and age, most people would find that strange. I didn't for two reasons.
1) In this line of work, you run into a few crazies. If I had a dollar for every nut-job I turned away, I could buy a small European country.
2) It was Halloween. Hell, I was on my way to a party dressed in a replica suit of Veteran Ranger Armor from Fallout: New Vegas, complete with gas mask and real riot gear I borrowed from a friend on the SWAT team. I was gonna win the costume contest for sure!
I'm getting off topic, aren't I? Anyways, this weirdo offered me a job without going into much detail. No location, no objective, not even a dollar amount The only thing I got out of her was the promise that I would be saving thousands, if not millions of lives.
Every instinct told me to turn the job down, and yet I still accepted it. Maybe the idea of playing hero again had its appeal.
God, I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
Twilight Sparkle recieves a very formal letter from Princess Celestia. Now everypony's in trouble.
Twilight Sparkle gathers her friends after receiving a rather distressing letter from her mentor, Princess Celestia. She's not happy about the contents, at all.
It seems her friends all went on some magical adventure without her. And now they're all in a lot of trouble.
Hi. I'm Alexander Stepanowski. I'm a Brony. Today I discovered that Equestria is real. No, I didn't go there. I may have, uh, accidentally - let's go with that - abducted one of the princesses. Now, before you get too angry with me, I swear there's a perfectly logical explanation for this!
And for why I now ask myself if it's okay to love a Pony.

After exhausting every property in the city, one last option appears the day before his deadline. Sure the agent selling the place is a little weird, and more than a little overeager to get the property signed off. But then he steps inside and discovers things can be much worse. The property is in another universe, and while he's there he'll have to play by its rules. As a child, Daphne knew of a world where magic lived, where an immortal princess reigned over a beautiful kingdom, and longed to journey there beside Leit Motif, the filly she'd grown to love in the woods behind her home. But one day, when she needed her most, Leit Motif was gone, and she never came back to show her the way. As she grew, she put aside her childish dreams, and taught herself to believe the lie. When forces beyond her knowing take her sister Amelia, though, she discovers that her childhood fancies were entirely too real, and is thrust into a journey that will take her back to that land she longed for, back to the childhood friend she'd abandoned, and to worlds she'd only dreamed of.
Sometimes, there are states of emotion that can overwhelm even the mightiest of creatures; or so they say. Queen Chrysalis had never taken stock in such tales, nor the creatures that told them. Until today that is.
Silver Glow takes an opportunity to spend a year at an Earth college, where she'll learn about Earth culture and make new friends.
Now that Earth and Equestria have made contact, lots of ponies dream of visiting Earth, and while tourist visas are hard to come by, a few lucky students each year can participate in a foreign-exchange program.
Silver Glow is one of those lucky ponies.
She thought she was prepared for Earth, but can you ever be fully prepared for a truly foreign exchange?

This story's update schedule is incredibly sporadic, but I promise, no matter what happens, no matter how long it takes, this story will reach completion. (Update 5/15/21: I PROMISE I'M STILL WORKING ON IT!)
"Dear Princess Celestia, as your (former) most faithful student, I feel I have to warn you that this is probably a trap. Chrysalis cannot possibly be serious about this. Why would anyone, much less her, want to shoot a documentary on us?"
Chrysalis, queen of all the changeling hives and infinitely cunning architect of their plans to conquer Equestria, has a problem: She knows diddly-squat about ponies. But Chrysalis is cleverer than most—or all—changelings, and she's already devised a brilliant solution to this trifling issue: Make a movie about them.
Anon and Barb don't like each other but will that change?
Anon has been in Equestria for two months, he can say that for the most part his life here isn't half bad. That still doesn't change the fact that a certain dragoness is constantly annoying him at every possible turn. Yet, despite her being annoying, at least arguing with her makes him feel as if something is normal for him here.
Nurse Redheart laments about the medical issues of some of Equestria's most well known ponies.
Let me give this to you straight. I'm a doctor. My title says 'Nurse', but I'm a doctor. I deal with sick and injured ponies daily, and give both treatment and advice to them with trust and confidence. That includes a certain six friends and their own medical needs.
If the rest of Equestria actually knew that disaster was one missed pill away, I don't think 'riots in the streets' would be sufficient to cover it. But I'm bound by Doctor/Patient Confidentiality, so I guess I'm the thin red line between civilization, and eternal enslavement by some horror from beyond.
That eternal enslavement thing sounds better every day, mind you.

“Do Humans Hibernate?” Rainbow has a question on her mind. She's not entirely sure why it's bothering her so much. It probably doesn't help that the only human she could ask is the world's greatest liar. [COMPLETE STORY]

Marshal: (mɑː.ʃəl) noun….etymology - archaic: Middle English, from Anglo-French ‘mareschal’, of Germanic origin; akin to Old High German ‘marahscalc’, from ‘marah’ (horse) + ‘scalc’ (servant). Originally referring to "a person in charge of the upkeep of horses or stable hand”. The station became a position of trust and power in medieval courts and went on to acquire its modern military usage.
Welcome to Ember's, Canterlot's most exclusive brothel. Ember is a changeling who can offer her clients any fantasy, no matter how strange. Yet fantasy is not all that she offers, she also offers help and healing to ponies in need.
Welcome to Ember's, Canterlot's most exclusive brothel. Only one "girl" works there, but Ember is a changeling, and can offer the fulfillment of almost any fantasy, no matter how wild. That is not all that Ember offers, however. She dislikes the taste of negative emotions, and does all she can to help her clients overcome these feelings. With years of experience with ponies of every type, Ember knows just what ponies need, even when they themselves aren't always so sure.
(Comments may contain spoilers. Chapter guide also contains spoilers.)
Chapter guide: (This guide explains the "issue" that Ember helps a client with in each chapter.)
First time Fears. Fear of being unable to please a partner due to lack of experience. Fantasy. Worry that rough sex and/or rape fantasies are sick and wrong. A Pearl of Desire. Feeling unattractive and unlovable due to age/not meeting beauty standards. What You've been Missing. Being asexual/wanting to wait for sex, but feeling that the lack of desire is something "wrong" Having it Both Ways. A stallion who fantasizes about cock and feels that it's not normal. Far From the Sun 1. Shame about wildly kinky fantasies, and unwillingness to entirely let go and relax. Far From the Sun 2. Feeling that because everything else in one's life is happy, it's therefore wrong to be miserable because you're not getting sexually fulfilled. Contrast. Shame over small penis size/struggles with the practicality of large penis size. A Bountiful Harvest. A pony is curious about the kind of play where you need a safe word. (Commissioned story) In The Beginning. Ember wasn't always a confident fixer of pony's problems. Long ago, when the changeling invasion left her stranded in Canterlot, she had some unique problems of her own. Gray: A young Ember helps one of her first clients with his self-esteem. (Commissioned story) A Bountiful Harvest part 2: Harvest Moon returns to relax and indulge his kink. (Commissioned story) The Mirror's Lie: A transgender stallion has difficulty with dysphoria during sex. The Little Things: A big stallion has a fantasy for even bigger mares. (Commissioned story) Condescension: What happens when Ember gets a customer even she isn't willing to help. (Hint, she has hot sex with her love instead.) It's Not Unusual: A non-neurotypical pony is just as welcome as any other customer, with or without a few small, fun kinks. Wrong End of the Leash: "Being a stallion" doesn't mean you need to be dominant.
A somewhat different take on the phrase "sex therapist". Many of the chapters will deal with situations that are sensitive to some people, so slurs, shaming, trolling, derogatory comments, etc. will simply be deleted.
I do accept suggestions for these stories! However, I will only accept ideas that stay true to the purpose of Ember's. Ember helps ponies with their sex-related problems. Suggestions such as "I think Ember and X pony would be hot" will be ignored. Suggestions such as "What if Ember were to meet a pony with Y problem?" or "I think X pony might be in Z situation and Ember could help" will be considered. I do also sometimes accept commissions to write these (and other) stories for money, and am slightly more flexible about subject matter on such stories. Ember does see "ordinary" clients who just want a good time and don't have problems, after all!
This story takes place in the same universe as Honey Pie, but otherwise has nothing whatsoever to do with it.
Most chapters are posted without editing by anyone else, so forgive any small grammatical errors you may find. It's currently marked "incomplete" because there are many more chapters to come, but each chapter is it's own complete story, so you won't be left hanging!
Sunset Shimmer, practitioner of friendship, twice savior of Canterlot High, alicorn. She's offered to help Twilight's new student as the whole group travels to the Crystal Empire for a Crystalling. Should be a relaxing, stress free trip. Right?
Sunset Shimmer, twice savior of Canterlot High who earned her wings by using the combined magic of the Earth elements of harmony to save the world from Twilight Sparkle (you know... the one with the glasses). She's offered to help Twilight's (you know.. the alicorn Princess of Friendship) new student learn about friendship while the whole crew embarks on a trip to the Crystal Empire. This should be a fairly relaxing and stress free trip. Right? RIGHT?!
It should go without saying, but MAJOR spoilers to the season 6 premier.
